Some teams are remembered for their record.

Others are remembered for who they become.

This group just finished their 12U summer season undefeated, closing it out with one final home victory over Marshall. While I’m incredibly proud of the record they earned, it’s so much bigger than that…

I’ve had the privilege of coaching many of these girls for the past three years, and watching their growth has been one of the greatest joys of coaching. They’ve become a team that’s strong both physically and mentally. Talent can win games, but mental toughness, resilience, and belief in one another can build championship-caliber teams.

When things get hard, they don’t fold. They get louder. They encourage each other. They battle together. That’s what makes this group so special.

Last night they stepped off the field as the 6th Grade Golden Gnome Girls Gold team.

Next spring, they’ll return to these same fields wearing Blackjack jerseys as 7th graders.

Next summer, they’ll be back … but in pink, as Lady Gnomes.

To say I’m excited to see what these young ladies have in store for the game of softball going forward, it would be a complete understatement.

And yes… I mean exactly that.

I’m excited to see what these girls have in store for the game of softball-not simply what softball has in store for them.

I have a feeling this is only the beginning.

Congratulations, girls. You earned every bit of this season, and I can’t wait to keep watching your story unfold. 💛🥎

Tiger Throwdown

Our 8U Lil’ Gnomies hit the road to Marshall this past Saturday to compete in the Tiger Throwdown, finishing the day 1-2!

The highlight of the day? At a recent birthday party, the girls picked out a collection of temporary tattoos for Coach Luke and insisted he wear them to the tournament. Apparently they decided he needed to toughen up his look a little! 💪😂 We have to admit… tattoos paired surprisingly well with his game face.

From fierce game faces and dusty uniforms to post-game medals and plenty of laughs, this team continues to amaze us with how much they grow and learn every time they step on the field!

One tournament down, many more adventures to come. We couldn’t be prouder of these Lil’ Gnomies! 💚🥎

Road win for our 12U Gold Lady Gnomes!

Our 6th graders hit the road last night to take on Minneota Team 1 and came home with a 14-9 victory, improving to 4-0 on the summer! 💪

One of my favorite things about coaching this group isn’t just watching them improve as softball players—it’s watching them grow as teammates.

Softball is a game that can test you mentally. There are moments when things don’t go your way, and that’s often when teams get quiet. Confidence fades. Energy drops.

Not this group.

When the game gets tough, these girls seem to get louder. They encourage one another, pick each other up, and find another gear together. Instead of letting adversity pull them apart, they rally around each other. That kind of chemistry can’t be taught overnight, and it’s becoming one of this team’s greatest strengths.

The scoreboard showed a win last night, but the way these girls compete for one another is an even bigger victory.

Proud of this team and excited to see where this season takes them.
