Today's Panther spotlights are with two of the toughest guys on our team! Our catchers, 6th grader Shane Reynolds and 7th grader Timmy Jarboe! 💜🐾💛

⚾ Shane is in his 3rd season with MS baseball and has been a Varsity starter the entire time! He plays C, 1b, 3b and pitches. While earning a starting spot on the Varsity team a year ago as a 5th grader, Shane quickly became one of our most dangerous hitters and is a defensive wall behind the plate! He loves the game, as he also plays travel ball in between our MS seasons!

Shane says..
• His favorite MLB player is Yadier Molina.
• His favorite teachers are Mr. Worton and Mrs. Walker.
• His favorite thing about baseball is being a utility player.

⚾ Timmy has been with the MS team since it's start as a 5th grader! He is the starting catcher on our JV team and as of this season, has earned a starting Varsity spot in the OF. He is the example that our coaches use when we're teaching the young guys that their hard work will eventually pay off! Timmy has improved more than anyone on our team in the last two years!

Timmy says..
• His favorite MLB player is Ozzie Smith.
• His favorite teacher is Mrs. Larimore.
• His favorite thing about baseball is playing with his teammates and winning.

Two very important pieces from our middle grades that will continue to help build our program and lead our team in the future! Go Panthers! 🐾

Last night we had the pleasure of hosting Kenwood Middle School out of Clarksville and I'm not sure that we've ever had more gracious guests to visit Riverside Park! Coach Cody Chandler, his staff and all of his players were so excited to be here!

I think we sometimes forget what a special place we have right here in our own backyard. And to see the looks on those kids and coaches faces was a reminder of how lucky we are to get to play here everyday! Once he found out its history, Coach Chandler was in town 3 hours before our game...running around our park like a little kid!

Coach Chandler has reached out to us today in hopes of helping Dawson Springs with fundraising for the bleachers and whatever else is needed at our new park! We can't thank him enough for wanting to do that and for also reminding us that there are still amazing people left in the world! 💜💛

We will head to their place this coming Friday night for a JV/V doubleheader and we plan to keep our new friends on the schedule for years to come! We would love for you guys to come to Clarksville with us Friday to help us say thank you again for their kindness! Go Panthers and Go Knights! 🐾⚾⚔️

⚾ Another solid outing for our Varsity squad tonight, as they roll past Kenwood 10-0 behind a complete game shutout by Clark Larimore! Every one of the guys showed up and did their job tonight!

JV had the winning run on with no outs in the bottom of the 5th, but came up just short, falling 4-3. We see so many new positives from the young guys each time out! Their time is coming! ⚾

Thank you to everyone who came out tonight! The boys will enjoy the long holiday weekend and be back in action this Tuesday at Riverside against a strong Union County team! Come on out and give them a little extra boost from the home crowd! Go Panthers! 🐾

⚾ It's a Home Gameday! ⚾

After a long break away from Riverside, our Panthers are back at home tonight for a V/JV doubleheader with the Kenwood MS Knights from Clarksville!

*Varsity will start 1 hour later than usual to avoid the heat, with the first pitch coming at 6:30, with the JV game to follow.*

We will have full concessions, so grab a chair and come yell for our guys! They would love to see you all there! Go Panthers! 🐾

Our next Panther spotlights are of two more guys that have been with the team from the beginning, 8th grader Bentley Littlepage of Varsity and 7th grader Sam Jones of the JV! 💜🐾💛

⚾️ Bentley has been a Varsity starter for the MS team since the start of the program! He plays 2B, P and will also catch if we need him to. He is also the Varsity leadoff hitter and is currently leading our team in stolen base percentage with a 100% success rate! He is a huge piece to our team's success and another great example for our young guys to follow!

Bentley says..
• His favorite MLB player is Fernando Tatis Jr.
• His favorite teacher is Mr. Ward.
• His favorite thing about baseball is turning a double play.

⚾ Sam Jones is a starter on our JV team and a reserve with the Varsity! He plays C, 3b and pitches. Sam is always eager to do more and his coaches love that about him! While giving everything he's got on the field, Sammie is also the team comedian off of it, making those long bus rides a lot more entertaining lol!

Sam says..
• His favorite MLB player is Shohei Ohtani.
• His favorite teacher is Mrs. Larimore.
• His favorite thing about baseball is getting the win with his team.

Our Panther spotlights for today are with 8th grader Clark Larimore of the Varsity squad and 6th grader David Killough of the JV! 💜🐾💛

⚾ Clark has been a Varsity starter for all of the first 5 seasons of DSMS baseball! He is the most versatile member of our team, with his willingness and ability to play any position on the field at a high level, as well as being one of our most consistent pitchers! He is a true team leader and an excellent example for our young guys to follow! Having a player like Clark on your team is every coach's dream!

Clark says..
• His favorite MLB player is Easton McGee.
• His favorite teacher is Mrs. P'Poole.
• His favorite thing about baseball are the bonds with his teammates.

⚾ David is in his first year as a Panther after transferring from Webster County and is also in his first ever year of playing organized baseball! He plays OF. Despite getting a late start in the sport, David has shown that he is willing to jump right in and learn all he can in his first season!

David says..
• His favorite MLB player is Shohei Ohtani.
• His favorite teacher is Coach Worton.
• His favorite thing about baseball is playing outfield.

⚾ After a slow start, the guy's bats finally came alive as they leave CCA with the 12-4 victory! Thank you to everyone who came down! ⚾

⚾ The guys get the split tonight at Livingston as the Varsity pulls away for the 18-3 win! JV battled hard, but fell 6-3. The young fellas are improving every time out! ⚾

❗️A slight change to our schedule, as Christian County cancelled for our home games today❗️

Instead, we will head to Livingston County for a V/JV doubleheader starting at 5:30! Games will be played at Livingston County Park on Brumitte Rd. They would love to see you all there, or you can follow along on the GameChanger app! Go Panthers! 🐾
