Two days two wins.
Managed to get the win at the Friday Flex at Majette in Panama City. I played pretty decent golf and minimized mistakes despite battling a lingering chest cold. After that mid morning round we headed north to Enterprise Alabama for the Aviation Heritage Memorial at the very challenging LZ disc golf course.

Saturday morning the tournament started off abysmal for me. I was 4 over par through 3 holes and honestly wanted to give up because I wasn’t feeling great. However last week I reminded my son while learning to ride his bike that most fun things are hard at first and I didn’t want to be a hypocrite so I stuck it out. I battled my way back from dead last and managed to shoot the hot round second round and get myself into a tie for 1st. After battling my good buddy Justin for 3 holes in a playoff I came away with the win. I’m so thankful for him. He’s a great competitor that pushes me to get better and better but beyond that he is a great friend and thankfully was on my first round card to pick me up when I was down.

Disc Highlights:
Archive - I have such a money 500 Archive that is just the perfect straight mid now. It helped me birdied super long holes with treacherous greens.

FX-4 - honestly had almost replaced all my fairways. I think I can find an fx-4 for almost any shot shape. I can’t wait to try the new tour series version.

PA-3 - don’t be fooled by my horrendous putting stats the PA-3 was clutch and my two circle 2 birdies second are testament to the class of that putter.

Took down 2nd Place at the Emerald Coast Classic in MA2 division. It was awesome to have my kids with me during both rounds. They were so fun and encouraging to have around. I also had wonderful card mates for both rounds. Apart from 2 holes the whole day everything felt good and my putting felt the best it has in a long time (100% C1X second round). I was able to tie my highest rated round and beat my best score at Gator Links (my other highest rated round was one stroke less at Gator). Let’s talk about some of the discs that stood out this weekend.

FX-4 such a reliable and consistent fairway driver it’s going to push super straight with a consistent fade.

A2 there just isn’t an approach disc like it. Comfortable on the forehand and backhand. An absolute wind fighter and money from 220 and in for me.

PA-5 if you play tight wooded short holes like the ones I played at Gator Links if you don’t have a PA-5 you doing yourself a disservice. Hyzerflips and turnovers galore.

Been on a little bit of a hot streak. Two wins at .official flex c tiers and a 3rd place at the second annual Throwback C tier in Daphne (lost the playoff for 2nd).

Been leaning heavily on the Feedback and A5 for dependable overstable backhand and forehand shots. Do yourself a favor and get a 300 soft A5 and 750 glimmer feedback! And while you are at it try out the Pickle!

Updated Standings for Week 3 of the Baldwin Winter Tour!

‼️PDGA Sanctioned League continues this Sunday 2/1 at Pecan Hollow Course in Foley‼️
This is week 3 (week 2 was canceled) of our Sunday league rotating courses throughout Baldwin County.

Please keep in mind there is no requirement to play each week or from the start. Points are based on how many people you beat each week so even if you start on week 3 and show out you can definitely get yourself in the running

$10 per week to play
Sign up at 1:30pm
Shotgun start at 2:00pm
This week and all future weeks I will be doing card assignments (don't worry I will pair you with your buds).

I will have hot coffee free of charge available to the first dozen or so to check in ☕️☕️☕️

Unfortunately this week’s Baldwin Winter Tour PDGA league is canceled. The weather just looks too rough for us to have safe and fun round. We have lots of folks that make a decent drive over so I’d hate to cancel last minute on them. Be safe and stay warm this weekend.
