Calling all current 3rd–7th grade Danville girls interested in playing basketball this upcoming school year! Open gyms start next week. Never played before? That’s okay! Open gyms are a great way to experience what basketball is all about—you will not regret it!

Current 8th graders are welcome to join open gyms as well! All students must have a current sports physical on file with the school or bring a copy to the open gym in order to participate. Please wear basketball/tennis shoes and bring a water bottle.

Congratulations to 7th grade Bulldog JahJah Meaux on being named to the 7th grade KBC State All-Tournament Team!

To earn this honor, a team must advance to the Sweet 16–and our Bulldogs did just that! We are so proud of JahJah and the entire team for this historic achievement.

Huge shoutout to the John W. Bate Bulldogs 7th grade basketball team on an incredible season and a great run this weekend at the state tournament! The Bulldogs powered their way to the Sweet 16 of the KY State Tournament, finishing top 14 in the entire state after a hard-fought battle against a tough Owensboro.

This marks the first Sweet 16 appearance in school history—a massive achievement that reflects the team’s heart and determination all season long.

We are so proud of these athletes and coaches for making Bulldog history.
