🐻 Today, Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course hosted an Iowa Jr. PGA event, and the Danville Bears made their presence known with six talented golfers proudly representing our program!
In the P*e Wee Division (9 holes), Ryden Wilke — the youngest Bear in the field — competed fearlessly in the 10–11 Divison, earning an impressive 6th place finish. Ryden will enter 6th grade this fall and continues to showcase tremendous potential.
In the 12–13 Division, Camden Carlson had a fantastic day, bringing home a 2nd place finish! Camden will be stepping into 7th grade this fall and is already proving to be one to watch.
On the Junior Tour, our Bears kept the momentum rolling in the 12–13 Division:
Grant Stuecker battled hard for a strong 5th place finish
Cash Thomann followed closely behind in 6th place
Will Sheedy rounded out the group, claiming 7th place
Grant and Cash will enter 8th grade, while Will moves into 7th grade this fall.
In the 16–18 Division, Alex Holtkamp represented the Bears with pride, firing a solid 79 (+7) to secure 11th place against a highly competitive field. Alex will be entering his senior year this fall and continues to set a great example for our younger golfers.
The dedication, effort, and talent these young athletes displayed today are a clear sign of what’s to come. The future is bright for the Danville Bears Golf Program! ⛳️

Congratulations to our golfer Gavin Marshall who recieved Poultry Reserve Champion in Showmanship today at the Des Moines County Fair!

Big Congratulations goes out to Cash Thomann, who finished first today in his Jr PGA Event in Marion! Cash finished with an impessive 74 (+2). Also from Danville, Grant Stuecker who finished 4th. Way to go guys!
