Think it's too late for your kid to start baseball?

That's who Thursday is for.

Don't need a glove, bat, or helmet. We have all of it. Don't need to know the rules. Don't need a season, a uniform, or $300 to pay for it all.

All that's needed is 80 minutes and a pair of tennis shoes.

+ Every kid bats every inning.
+ Everybody rotates through every position.
+ No walks. No steals.
+ Teams are randomly picked each week, so nobody gets chosen last.

I'll explain the whole thing before first pitch. Nobody starts behind.

No walks. No steals.
Teams get picked out of a deck of cards, so nobody gets chosen last.
The only yelling you'll here is "atta boy" and "there ya go kid!"
Eighty minutes and we're done.

If your kid quit baseball, it probably wasn't baseball.

It was standing in right field for two hours without a ball in sight.
It was the coach who only played his own kid and yelled at the others.
It was getting up to the plate once.

Thursday night we're doing it differently.

Every kid bats every inning.

We've been telling the wrong story about why kids quit baseball.

Short attention spans. Screens. Slow game. That story is wrong.

Kids don't quit baseball. They quit the experience.

The average youth baseball player gets 1.3 plate appearances per game.

In a recent 5-Pitch Plucky game, every single ballplayer got six plate appearances in eighty minutes. More than an MLB player gets in nine innings.
