Happy Halloween - here to remind you not to stress the candy & have fun today with a healthy mindset! 4 tips to Fulljoy your day:
Tip #1) Choose to indulge on candy that you truly love. If your kid’s pumpkins are full of subpar candy, just say no, and get yourself the dark chocolate delicacy that you really want.
Tip #2) Remember that today is not the only day you can eat candy, so just have a little. The scaricity mindset that says “I shouldn’t do this again so I better go crazy,” is one that always ends in regrets and feeling pretty terrible. You’re a grown up. You can literally go buy candy any day you want, so make sure it’s what you actually want today!
Tip #3) Pay attention to how you feel. Choose a treat that is satisfying and leaves you feeling energized, and Fulljoy it. You can avoid the sugar crash, stomach ache, mouth blisters, and tooth pain that come with overdoing it.
Tip #4) Eat what you choose slowly and intentionally so you can truly enjoy it! What does it taste like, feel like, smell like? What memories are associated with that treat? Share that story with someone you love!
You absolutely can journey to a place where you pass a platter of candy (or donuts/cookies/insert your vice here) and choose if it’s something you actually want right now. It’s actually less about self control, and more about changing your mindset.
