What an amazing week! What an incredible season! What a special group of girls!
Although 4th place wasn’t our goal entering the week, the pride I have as a coach for this team and for each individual player is overwhelming. They truly left everything on the field in their last 10u tournament ever. 4th place out of 30 10U teams from all over the country!
There is no quit in this group no matter what. They play hard and fight tooth and nail for each other, not for coaches, not for parents, not even for themselves. They do everything for the other girls taking the field beside them.
As we head home after a long week in PCB it hit me hard that we won’t be together as a team for a couple of months while all 11 girls play middle school ball. As proud as I am for them all reaching their goal of playing metro ball, I’m more proud that they have all chosen to stay together next season for travel ball. As the travel “transfer portal” has opened all I see on my Facebook feed is teams looking for new players and players looking for new teams. For Canes 2033 there were no cuts.
I am especially thankful for my assistant coaches. Without you guys, none of this would be possible. I also have the best group of parents any coach could ask for, we are one big family.
Thank you Alley Cutting and Canes Softball for seeing something in me years ago and giving me the opportunity to coach for your organization.
WE DID SO GOOD!
IYKYK 😉
See you in the fall!
