Our littlest learners are getting a class of their own this fall! Small Talk’s Mommy & Me class is designed for ages 12 months–3 years and uses play, music, movement and everyday routines to help build the foundations of early language and social skills.

Little ones will practice things like joint attention, imitation, gestures, following directions, turn-taking, growing vocabulary and beginning to put words together — all through activities that feel like PLAY.

And parents are learning right alongside them! You’ll leave each week with simple, practical strategies for encouraging communication at home — how to model and expand language, when to pause and give your child a chance to communicate, and easy ways to build language into the things you’re already doing every day.

Come play, sing, connect with other families and learn a little more about how to support all that communication that’s developing right before your eyes. 🥹

Mondays | 9:30–10:15 AM

$300 per six-week session

Football season is officially back — and we’re making Saturdays a win for everyone. 🏈

This Saturday, September 5, we’ve got ALL DAY Open Play from 8 AM–6 PM, with the big games on the big screen while the kids play.

So you don’t have to choose between watching your team and getting the kids out of the house. Grab a coffee, claim a spot, keep an eye on the score, and let them swing, climb, zip and burn off some serious weekend energy.

We’ll have Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Auburn and more in the mix throughout the day — come play for an hour or settle in for a game.

Football for you. Open play for them. Everybody wins.

Ms. Erin is BACK and we’re ready to make some music! 🎶

Backyard Music Class is back at We Rock Lakewood every Thursday at 9 AM, now through December!

Come sing, dance, shake, wiggle and play your way through a morning full of music, movement and plenty of silliness. It’s such a fun way to start the day — and one of our favorite ways to get those little bodies moving.

And the fun doesn’t stop when class does! Open play is included with your class, so stick around afterward, explore the gym and get a few more wiggles out before heading home.

There’s a lot happening at We Rock Lakewood this fall, so our weekly schedule is getting a little upgrade. Your Weekly Lineup is your new one-stop spot for open play hours, classes, camps + whatever else we have going on around the gym each week.

And we’re kicking it off with a busy one!

☀️ Weekday Open Play: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–6 PM — and Monday is your LAST chance to take advantage of our $14 Weekday Winddown after 3 PM!

🎶 Backyard Music is sticking around for September! Join us Thursday morning at 9 AM for music, movement + plenty of time to play afterward. Class is $20 and includes Open Play.

🤸 We Rock Camp is back for the school break on Friday 9/4 + Monday 9/7 from 9 AM–3 PM, with aftercare available.

🏈 And if your ideal Saturday involves the kids burning off ALL the energy while you keep one eye on the score…we’ve got you. We’re open all day Saturday from 8 AM–6 PM.

Sunday hours are split around a private party: 8–9:30 AM + 12–6 PM.

School’s out ALREADY? Camp is ON. 🙌 Whether you need coverage while the kids are off or they just need somewhere to burn some energy, make some friends, and have a really fun day — we’ve got you.

Our next Rock Camp dates are coming up fast:
Labor Day Camp - September 4 & 7
Fall Break Camp - October 8, 9 & 12

We Rock Camp is designed for ages 3–10, with plenty of active play, games, crafts, sensory activities and downtime mixed in throughout the day. We keep our camp groups small with a 5:1 camper-to-counselor ratio so kids get the support they need while still having plenty of room to play, explore and have fun.

Plus! aftercare is available for families who need a little extra time at the end of the day.

Labor Day is right around the corner, so if “figure out what the kids are doing while school is closed” is still sitting on your to-do list… consider this your reminder. 😉

We are SO excited to finally share this announcement with our East Dallas community. This fall, our friends at Small Talk Speech Therapy are bringing four new speech, language, social skills, and feeding-focused classes to We Rock Lakewood!

Small Talk was founded by two incredible speech-language pathologists, Jille Rubin and Sarah Henderson, who are also educators who worked at a local school designed for students with learning differences. Both actually taught our own son while he was there, so we’ve gotten to know their work from a perspective that goes well beyond a business partnership.

They both are incredible at what they do and truly meet their kiddos where they are, while finding ways to build skills over time through gentle encouragement and lots of play. So when the opportunity came up to bring Small Talk to the We Rock Lakewood community, it felt like such a natural fit.

Beginning in September, they’ll be offering four different programs at the gym:
• Mommy & Me — early language + social development for ages 12 months–3 years
• Preschool Prep — a small-group preschool readiness program for ages 3–6
• Small Bites — low-pressure food exploration for ages 2–6
• Social Talkers — social communication groups for ages 3–6 and 7–10

Each class is intentionally small, play-based, and designed to give kids space to practice skills in an environment that feels comfortable and fun — which, of course, is exactly what we want We Rock Lakewood to be.

At We Rock Lakewood, parties are built around one very important goal: let the kids have an absolute blast without making the grown-ups work harder than they need to.

We’re down to just a handful of weekend party spots for the month, but there is still at least one option available every weekend in September. So whether you’re planning ahead or suddenly realizing that birthday is a whole lot closer than it felt a few weeks ago… we’ve still got you.

And if the weekend options don’t work for your crew, our new Weekday Open Play Parties give you even more ways to celebrate! For $250, you’ll get two hours of open gym play, space for up to 40 guests, and your own party room — available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 11 AM or 3 PM.

The school year is officially underway, which means our Weekday Winddown is winding down, too!

There’s still time to take advantage of $14 open play from 3–6 PM, Monday through Friday — but only through August 31.

If everyone is still adjusting to the back-to-school routine, come let them run, swing, climb and get some of that end-of-day energy OUT before heading home for the evening.

A little playtime can go a long way after a big school day. 💙

Did you know music is one of the first ways children learn about the world around them. Clapping, dancing, shaking instruments, and singing all provide valuable sensory experiences that help support developing brains.

Music activities can help children:
• Build body awareness
• Strengthen coordination
• Practice listening skills
• Develop language through rhythm and repetition
• Explore sounds and movement in a fun, low-pressure environment
