I think of my clients like these precious plants I tend and nurture.

Each one needing their own kind of conditions to thrive.

Each one growing at their own pace and in unique directions, according to their God-given nature.

Some, not all, are designed to flower.

Many carry healing medicine.

Each contribute to the greater eco-system in distinct but equally important ways.

Sales conversations are uncomfortable because they ask someone to confront what’s not working in their life.

They force a person to grapple with the decision to change or continue living with their current reality.

People spend years making excuses and numbing out on Netflix to avoid this very discomfort.

Comfort has no place in sales conversations.

Vital tension is required if you want someone to truly grapple with the decision to transform their life.

If you’re not willing to say the things that will make them uncomfortable, you won’t be able to close the sale.

Because, whether they consciously realize it or not, they won’t trust you to coach them.

They’ll get value from the conversation, tell you they need to think about it and disappear.

Then they’ll go hire someone who could stand on the edge with them.

You have to get comfortable making people uncomfortable 💯

Their transformation depends on it. And so does your bottom line 💰

Often times the most powerful thing you can do is to change your perspective.

Zoom out, step away, look from a different angle.

Just because you can’t see a path from where you’re standing doesn’t mean there isn’t one.

But this means you must be willing to move – to get off your position long enough to explore and find out.

This is inherently disorienting so it requires courage. It’s not for the faint of heart.

But it might be the only thing standing between you and the life you want to be living.
