I ran a 5K today for the first time in 5 years! Here are some lessons I’ve learned over the last 30 days:
✨You can decide at any moment to change your beliefs. I believed for so long that I wasn’t a runner but I decided to change that by starting this program.
✨You can give up if you want but you won’t know how it feels to cross the finish line and feel proud of yourself for pushing through. Do you really want to miss out on that??
✨The way you talk to yourself is everything. When I wanted to stop running today, I kept saying “You are running and you can keep running! You aren’t tired you’re just mid-conquer!” And that’s what pushed me through the last mile.
✨The only person you need to be better than is the person you were yesterday. Comparing yourself to others keeps your eyes off the road in front you. Do that too long you’ll probably trip. Eyes forward babe!
✨After you cross the finish line, don’t stop. Keep going. Celebrate, but then look for the next race, the next opportunity to cross another finish line. That’s how we continue to grow.
Fitness is such a metaphor for life right?? What are some life lessons you’ve learned from fitness?
