Texas Outlaws Baseball Texas Outlaws Baseball Mantra: A.C.E. Attitude ~ Confidence ~ Effort

The 13U Division of Texas Outlaws Baseball is a non-profit, select baseball program that is registered and insured as part of Duncanville Boys Baseball Inc., and Southwest Classic Baseball. Originally established in the spring of 2005 as a recreational team from South Dallas, the team has grown into a solid group of highly competitive boys from all over the metroplex (Oak Cliff, Duncanville, Cedar

Hill, Midlothian, Arlington, Grand Prairie, Mansfield, Desoto, Waxahachie & Cleburne). We are excited to be able to offer a structured baseball program that is dedicated to developing today’s youth into tomorrow’s leaders. Our goal is to establish a team of young men that exhibit the values of cooperation, dedication, ambition and passion. Our program is designed to encourage the play of baseball at a higher level, while instilling the values of friendship and leadership both on and off the field. Outlaws Baseball is a year round select program that requires a great deal of time and commitment from coaches, players and parents. During the 2013 season, we expect to play in 12 + tournaments, 1 league (Southwest Classic Baseball), and both the Super Series and USSSA World Series (total game count ranging from 70-80). Our program is designed to teach players multiple positions, enabling them to have a complete understanding of the game.

Congratulations Outlaws! The 2014 USSSA Spring Slam Champions. Timely hitting and aggressive base-running established early leads, while exceptional pitching and stifling defense play limited opponents to 1.5 average runs allowed per game. Well done Outlaws!!

GO OUTLAWS!

As most everyone knows, we wrapped up the tryout process this past weekend, and I’m happy to say that we have added four new families to Outlaws Nation.

Benny Hernandez – Benny brings power to the batting lineup, as well as depth at Frist Base, Third Base, Right Field and Pitcher. In addition to Benny’s strong bat, he has a solid glove with good range and the ability to make accurate throws on the run. His versatile skill set will allow us to move him around to support a variety of different defensive rotations. We have known the Hernandez family a long time, as Benny’s little brother Able played with us a few years ago. We are excited for the opportunity to have Benny on our team. Please join me in welcoming Benny, and his parents Benito and Monica!!!

Jett Johnson – Jett brings a strong arm to the pitching rotation, along with a big bat and depth at middle infield and Left Field. Jett has solid command of several pitches, which will serve him well against the tougher AAA and Major teams. Additionally, his solid glove work and good range will make him an asset in our middle infield as well as on the hill. We had the opportunity to play against Jett a few times, and he did a great job of shutting our bats down. I’m glad he’s in our bullpen now! We are excited for the opportunity to have Jett and on our team. Please join me in welcoming Jett, and his parents Daren and Julie!!!

Jonathan Little – Jonathan brings much needed depth at Catcher, as well as a big bat and speed to the Outfield. Jonathan has a strong arm with good POP times to 2B and 3B, and is an excellent communicator, which is rare in a 14U catcher. Additionally, he brings great speed to both the offense and defense, and promises to be an impact player in the Outfield and potentially a base running specialist on offense. His unique skillset will allow us to create a number of defensive rotations. We are excited for the opportunity to have Jonathan on our team. Please join me in welcoming Jonathan and his parents Mike and Donna!!!

Trey Bostic – Trey brings a big bat and solid depth at middle infield, but is versatile enough to play any position. With Adriel playing high school ball in the spring, Trey give us much needed depth at SS alongside of Ben. In addition to his strong defensive skills, Trey is also an outstanding pitcher with several good pitches, and will certainly be an asset in our rotation. On the offensive side, Trey brings a strong bat and good speed and is dynamic enough to play in multiple positions within the lineup. We are excited for the opportunity to have Trey on the team. Please join me in welcoming Trey and his parents Mike and Janet!!!

While we had a very solid core of 8 players, we just got exponentially better with the addition of Benny, Jett, Jonathan and Trey.

Welcome to Outlaws Nation!!!

A message to the players. Congratulations boys...making it to the semi-finals at the 2013 Global World Series. You competed well, but we came up a little short against a good team. I just wanted to say how proud I am of each and every one of you, for your effort, attitude and dedication on and off the field this season! It seems like yesterday we were rolling onto the field for first practice. Those cold January winds were tough...but the process has to start somewhere! Along the way, you managed to pull together the best season any Outlaws team has ever had. 5 championships, 3 runner-up, and 3 more top 4 finishes. And while you always put the team first, everyone had great individual accomplishments as well. This week alone, we got to see Adriel throw his 2nd no-hitter, Ryan hold one of the best teams to 1 run, Matthew's outstanding pitching performance against a tough team to get the tournament started, Chase's great bat and mastery of the lead-off spot with the highest OBP in that position, Mason's multiple pick-offs including a great pickle during the semi-final game, Humberto's best pitching performance of the year, Junior's solid bat and great pitching calling during Adriel's no-hitter, Ben's solid pitching, big bat and great defense, Ryland's amazing diving catches and great base running, Clay's big bat, including a triple and an HR, Justin's strong relief performance and huge hits, and of course...Garrett's solid defense in CF and his first ever homerun. No coach could ask for a better group of players...I love you guys, and appreciate you allowing me share the field with you. Regards, Coach Rob

Congratulations Outlaws !!! The 2013 Texas State Championship Tourney Champs !! After winning both pool play games and out scoring their opponents by a margin of 28 - 1, the Outlaws secured the #1 seed going into bracket play. With game 1 on Sunday going to the Outlaws, mother nature decided that the tournament winner would be decided by final seeding...which also went the Outlaws way thanks to their undefeated record and #1 overall seed. This was the Outlaws 3rd straight tournament championship, which resulted in a change in classification from 13U AAA to 13 Majors !! Well done Outlaws !!!
