Remembering a Game-Changer: Gloria Steinem (1934–2026)
Today, we take a moment away from our usual cricket coverage to honor the passing of global icon Gloria Steinem at the age of 92. As a pioneering writer and fierce champion for human rights, her multi-decade activism permanently shifted the global landscape of equality.
Her Final Interview:
In a deeply moving final conversation before her passing, Gloria sat down with Kevin Breslin—an acclaimed documentary filmmaker and host of the podcast Breslin "What's Doin'?". Together, they reflected on Gloria's monumental journey and her deep friendship with Kevin’s late father, Jimmy Breslin.
Jimmy Breslin was a legendary, Pulitzer Prize-winning New York columnist and pioneer of "New Journalism" who spent 50 years championing the downtrodden. In 1968, he worked alongside Gloria as part of the powerhouse writer's roster that founded New York Magazine.
In this special episode, Gloria shares timeless lessons on equality, her hometown roots, and memories of the historic 1969 Breslin-Mailer New York City mayoral campaign.
An extraordinary life of global impact. Rest in power to a true legend.
