Are you doing what makes you happy, or what glorifies God?

This thought has been on my mind a lot recently, and it’s a little convicting. We are constantly told to do what makes us happy, to just “do you”. Well, when we do those things that we think will make us happy, often times…don’t.

Here’s the thing: we will never be satisfied by the world. We can gain the most likes, follows, followers, fame, and we will never be satisfied by those things. Why? Because we were never meant to.

God is the only constant thing in the world. He loves us, and He knows what’s best for us, not us. That’s definitely a little strange to think about, but it’s true. He made us, and He knows us better than ourselves.

Let’s glorify God.

Happy Father’s Day to my wonderful Dad who has loved me as his own daughter for 42 years and counting ❤️. I’m grateful for your love, leadership, strength, wisdom, advice, and great tolerance over the years when I didn’t deserve it. You’ve shown me what unconditional love is all about by introducing me to Jesus and living out His calling on your life as a dad. I love you.
