At his annual check up, his Doc at the Mayo Clinic said..

Ka-boom. ๐ฅ๐ฅ
For decades we had chided him to get salad instead of French fries.
That one interaction was like pulling a dangling thread from a silk tapestry.
It was effortless. The pounds fell off. He had to buy all new clothes.
Here's yet another lesson Dad taught me.

Think about your own life.
We wander down this path.....in a sort of trance state. Habits, patterns, routines.
Every so often a log falls in the path.
We pause.
We take stock of what's important to us.
We go around the fallen log.
We make a new path.
At first it's a little rocky.
In time, the new path gets worn and the old path becomes Overgrown.
You've been doing this since you messed your first pair of Huggies.

Understanding the neuroscience of making and breaking habits is an essential life skill.
It thrills me to have a front row seat for people in this process.
Because that's where the magic is.

My perspective is that you already are hypnotized.

I am going to de-hypnotize you.
You are essentially poisoning yourself, right? With something that does absolutely nothing good for you.
I wonder why.
Part of you knows this to be true.

And toss a log on the path.
