Yesterday did not end the way we had hoped, but the growth we saw on the field is impressive. The softball IQ is there and they are making the plays happen. One of our catchers went to the hospital for appendicitis with complications Friday night. Down a player and a key position, some of the girls had to play a position they never even practiced before. Some girls had to play through injuries. They all stepped up to the plate and did it with a smile on their face. We are proud of every girl on the team and are excited to see what they accomplish. Keep our catcher, Toot, in your prayers as she recovers! Feel better Toot!!!

What a weekend our team had. Our 2 day began with a rain delay, then when we went on the field and began our first game the sky opened up and delayed it some more. The 2nd game we went toe to toe with a tough team. Our 3rd game of the day was cut short due to a torrential downpour. When it was called we were down 4-1. We went back Sunday to finish the game and rallied back. Our 4th game of the weekend was just as close as the 2 games we played before. We may not have secured any wins for the weekend but the coaches saw growth. We saw the girls giving it everything they had and leaving it all on the field. That's what its all about. Getting better each time. We are proud of our team and how they showed up. Now to regroup and do it again next weekend.

We have some of the best mom's at the ball field and we wanted to honor them! Each of the girls represented their mom's name and of course had to have the mom tattoo to go with it. The girls gave each mom a rose and then battled on the field for them. We came up short in the end, but it was an amazing game to be apart of and we were all proud of the girls.

We hope all of the mama's enjoy their day and get all the rest and relaxation they deserve!!
