Bearkat Anglers had a great day at Sam Rayburn at the THSBA tournament with 127 teams participating. All three teams weighed in. All placing will be updated when official post is made.

8th place - Team Downs / Captain Hairgrove - 5 fish @ 12.99 lbs

Team Angelo / Captain Angelo - 3 fish @ 6.17 lbs

Captain Angelo won Captain side pot with 1 fish @ 6.05 lbs

Team Royer / Captain Rawlinson - 1 fish @ 2.49 lbs

Proud of these teams for there effort and time the past few days! Next stop will be in a few weeks at Lake of the Pines!

THSBA Live Stream Update

Due to recent platform changes on Facebook and YouTube, we are now limited to one live stream at a time per platform. This means we can no longer broadcast all three Saturday tournaments simultaneously.

We are actively working on a long-term solution that does not take scholarship funding away from our anglers, but it does not appear a fix will be in place before the end of the regular season.

For now, here is how live streaming will work:

👉 Each week we will post a vote-style Facebook poll Wednesday and Thursday
👍 The tournament with the most likes streams on Facebook
▶️ The second most liked streams on YouTube
❌ The third tournament will not be live streamed

Since we run three tournaments every Saturday, this is currently the best way to keep as much coverage as possible.

Thank you for your patience and continued support of our student anglers.

🚨 IMPORTANT SCHEDULE UPDATE – LAKE CHANGES 🚨

After careful consideration, we are announcing two upcoming lake changes to ensure the safety of our anglers and families:

• East Division will now compete on Lake O’ the Pines
📅 March 21, 2026

• Nautical Mile Regional will now be held on Lake Palestine
📅 May 2, 2026

👉 These changes come after a permit was approved allowing another large event to take place on the original lake the same weekend. While lake management authorities believe the lake can accommodate both events, we strongly disagree when it comes to on-the-water safety with that many boats present.

This lake swap is the simplest and safest solution to a situation we were assured would not occur. Our priority will always be angler safety first, even when it requires last-minute adjustments.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility as we continue to make decisions in the best interest of our anglers. More details will be shared as needed.
