My buddy Dave joined me yesterday morning for an Ozello run. Dave's been fishing with me for a long time, always a blast! Yesterday was no different. Started early and kept the lines tight till the end! Great reds all morning, and a bunch of random fun additions along the way. The jacks were wild! Even grabbed another cobia along the way! Got him a stud snapper for dinner and called it. What an incredible place we get to live and play in!

This weather pushed my clients flight off and now I've got Wednesday and Thursday open! The weather should have cleared out by then and with all the rain hopefully the Gulf cools a little and the fishing continues to be hot! Red fish are firing all over and fighting like crazy and we keep finding some awesome species additions along the journey! I might even discount the spot if you can fill one of those days! Let's go catch some fish!

The fish just keep on cooperating! This trip yielded a few toothy critters as well, fun addition! Excellent company, beautiful weather and lots of tight lines made for another perfect !

I had the pleasure of joining my buddy Captain Aaron Ball with Snaggletooth Excursions & Treasures on his boat yesterday. He recently repowered and I hadn't been on it since! The new Honda 115 on the back turned his sled into a monster and it runs over 40mph now! Such a cool ride! However, we were fishing and spent most of the day doing just that! Started out with a little snook and followed it up with a low slot shortly after! Few small reds and then he picked up a beautiful top slot. At one point he fought and beat a huge sting ray and as it surfaced next to the boat it had a beautiful cobia hanging out, dropped a big piece of cut lady in its face and caught him too! At the last stop of the day we got absolutely humbled by giants one after another in a total of 30 seconds. Two huge snook and another much larger cobia absolutely brutalized us and sent us home sad 😂. We put the rods up and went galavanting on his sweet sled to finish the day! Just another day in paradise!

Yesterday I finally had the pleasure of having Eric and Sabrina join me for an Ozello adventure! Knowing they've gone out with some of the best guides around, a bunch, I was really hoping my fish would cooperate for them. Of course I had to fumble it a little and completely forgot to fill my boats gas. Was almost to the ramp before I realized and was definitely late getting there after. First time for everything and Ozello trail is so long! 😂 However I was only a little behind and we still hit the water by 7. The first stop set the tone for the day with some awesome reds while the water came up a little. We pushed on and found fish everywhere. A bunch of great reds to 29 inches and even an awesome snook joined the party. The best company, lots of tight lines and a beautiful day made for another perfect !

Another day on the big pond chasing big fish yesterday. All summer we look for big reds mostly with lots of other fun stuff showing up. Yesterday with my friend Robin was no different! Made a run first thing while we had some water and it paid off! We were welcomed by a bunch of fun reds and one for the cooler. While there I noticed piles of tarpon rolling everywhere! I was prepared and put the tarpon rod off the back of the boat where they were rolling and crossed my fingers. We got the big hit, unfortunately on one of the red rods on the mangroves and not the tarpon rod with the huge live bait! 100+ pound tarpon screamed off at least 100 yards right off! Robin fought it like a champ and somehow I managed to get all the other rods in and the anchors up and we chased it down! She beat that monster and had it boat side but the 50 pounds of floating grass were too much for the 10lb braid and it broke off boat side! I'll take it as a win! Added in an over slot red, some snapper and sharks and it was an amazing day!

I love that folks choose to spend their special days with me. Yesterday these two spent their 24th wedding anniversary on my boat looking for some fish. Big reds and snook showed up to celebrate with them! Absolutely perfect day with excellent company and hot weather!

Had Greg and Dell on the boat the other day. My phone had died the day before but thankfully they showed and we had a blast! They caught reds till their arms were tired and we finished it with a refreshing stop at a sandbar. Excellent day, excellent company, can't beat it!
