11/25/2025
The 2025 season was never going to be easy—and a wave of injuries made sure of that. Despite every challenge thrown our way, this group produced a season to be proud of. According to the Missouri Soccer Power Rankings, half of our games were played against top-20 opponents, including:
#2 St. Mary’s
#3 Affton
#6 Orchard Farm
#8 Bayless (District 2 Champions)
#10 Lutheran South
#13 Perryville (District 1 Champions & Final Four)
Our schedule also featured traditional Class 3 powerhouses St. Pius X (KC), Cape Notre Dame, St. Francis Borgia, and last year’s Class 1 State Champion, Valley Park.
Season Record
We finished the season 8–12, a respectable mark given the difficulty of our schedule. Four of those losses were by just one goal—against Orchard Farm, Bayless, Valley Park, and Perryville (the district final, decided on a penalty kick with 1:48 left). Nothing came easy for our opponents; they had to earn every point.
Offense
In 2025 we scored 52 goals, a major jump of +21 from last season.
First varsity goals were scored by:
Sam Patterson, Bo Miller, Logan Lewis, Sebastian Reyes, Alex Foster, Drew Ribaudo, Chase Becker, Cooper Horvath, and Evan Ream.
Leading goal scorers:
10 – Lane Kohler
7 – Sebastian Reyes
4 – Cullen Klepzig, Logan Lewis, Drew Ribaudo
3 – Howard Klepzig, Cody Nguyen, Cooper McGrath, Rogan Westerman, Chase Becker
Assists:
14 – Cullen Klepzig (far ahead of the pack)
6 – Lane Kohler
4 – Rogan Westerman
Defense
Defensively we were strong once again, anchored by a reliable back line of Kamden Lebon, Alex Foster, Cullen Klepzig, Sam Patterson, and Cooper Horvath, with Everett Bosch joining late in the season.
In front of the defense, our holding midfielders Cody Nguyen and Juan Reyes provided consistent pressure and poise—until Juan’s unfortunate injury.
In his first varsity season, GK Mason McNutt stepped into the huge role left by All-State Goalkeeper Kyle Gartner. Despite Mason’s limited varsity experience, the team allowed only two more goals than last season, a testament to the defense and Mason’s rapid growth. Special thanks to GK Coach Matt Hrdlicka, one of the best in the state.
Junior Varsity
The future is bright for our JV squad led by Kyle Lewis. Several players earned their first varsity minutes this season—Bo Miller, Logan Lewis, Drew King, Nate Robinson, Evan Reim, Ben Wacker, and Gavin Yost—and we also benefited from an outstanding junior varsity squad.
The JV team finished 7-2-2 and won the Union Tournament.
JV Offensive Leaders:
Nate Robinson, Will Nesselhauf, Quinten Choate, Gavin Yost, and Leland McConville.
Midfield Core:
Evan Reim, August Taylor, and Chase Becker.
Defensive Unit:
Everett Bosch, Ray Geiler, Ryder Forbes, Drew Lebon, Cooper Horvath, and Owen Koepke.
Goalkeeper:
Freshman Ben Wacker, who impressed with excellent shot-stopping and distribution.
A big thank-you to all the coach's, parents and behind-the-scenes helpers! McKenzie McNutt, Mable Sanders, and Abby Koepke—your time, effort, and dedication truly don’t go unrecognized. We appreciate you more than you know!
