Friday Night Lights Award Recipients
*Affton Game*

*Offensive Lineman of the Week*
Charlie Young has had to answer the call this year and he’s stepping up big time! He graded out high but his motor and effort runs higher and that has earned him this weeks Captain Americas Shield!

*Defensive Lineman of the Week*
When you have some key players go down you sometimes gotta get creative, and when we looked Josh Dankenbring’s way he stepped up and the other team’s offensive line couldn’t stop him! He was playing out of position and still won the D-Line Chain of the week!

*Special Teams Player of the Week*
Trent Eisenbeis has taken on a lot of the kicking duties this year and he’s not only flipped some field position for us with his punts, but has gotten us a couple of onside kicks to go with it! He’s shown he’s got the leg but also that he is Worthy to hold Thors Hammer!

*Defensive Player of the Week*
Tristyn Munton was all over the place during this game and had 13 tackles and a sack, showing that he’s only just scratching the surface on his potential and has earned himself the Shark Head and Defensive Player of the Week Honors!

*Offensive Player of the Week*
We’ve had two players in Talon Clayton and Alex Parham that have really made some huge plays and shown their star power these last two games, but what about the guy who’s stepped up (literally stepped up in the pocket and made some unbelievable throws or scrambled for a huge first down gain) and has gotten them the ball for over 200 yards each week…That folks is what we call a 3 Headed Monster, and Kolton Adams and the gang have earned themselves this weeks Infinity Gauntlet and All Its Stones!

*Work Force Player of the Week*
It’s a battle every week from our young guys who bust their butt (and sometimes get their butt busted) trying to earn playing time while making their teammates better. Trent Buechting never complains goes where we need him, and always gives effort! This week he has won the Championship Belt and became our WorkForce Player of the Week

This one might have got me a little teary eyed to see the volleyball stands full of LOVE every time one of our girls served!!!

We’ve started a new Football Tradition this year that when the 3rd quarter clock hits 00:00 and the 4th Quarter begins our players will turn to the stands and find someone they love and let them know that this 4th quarter and all they’re laying on the line is for them; and they show it by throwing up the sign 🤟.

We made a decision going into year 2 that we’re going to build this program on love…which from a football program sounds soft right?! Well let me ask you this, if someone breaks into your home and tried kidnapping your kids, what would you do to the kidnapper….why? hatred for the kidnapper or the LOVE for your kids? What about a True Soldier who goes to War? He doesn’t fight because he hates what’s in front of him, but because he LOVES what’s behind him. There’s nothing soft about love; and the Power of Love can Change the World, so I’ll be danged if we don’t use LOVE to help change this program and take the Hornets to new Heights.

***Great job Rowdy Crowd, way to Represent 🤟🤟🤟

Week 2 of Thursday night team dinner and we were honored to have Mr. Jerry Burhans as our guest speaker! Jerry spoke to the team about our word of the week “Honesty”, and man was the message spot on! When every player can look themselves in the eye in the mirror and honestly say I’m giving all I’ve got (at home, at school, on the field) then we can all look each other in the eye and know…I’ve got your back🔥🙌👏.

Thanks again to Mr. Burhans and his wife for stopping by and speaking to the kids and always a big thank you to our parents who donated, set up, served, and tore down an awesome taco dinner for these boys and our coaches 🙏💯❤️

Friday Night Lights Award Recipients
*Winfield Game*

*Offensive Lineman of the Week*
Gage McPherson is an anchor on the offensive line and helps others as he goes as well. He had the best performance against a good squad and takes home Captain Americas Shield!

*Defensive Lineman of the Week*
Trent Eisenbeis has a motor on him and when this guy decides to go You Ain’t Stopping Him! Made several big plays and hits to go along with it and takes home this weeks D-Line Chain!

*Special Teams Player of the Week*
Talon Clayton got a lot of footballs kicked at him this week (personally I don’t know if I’d take that chance against such a dangerous athlete) and he got us positive yards and flipped field position when he did. He showed all that he is Worthy to hold Thors Hammer!

*Defensive Player of the Week*
Evan Morgan has in a years time made himself invaluable to this football team and turning into one of the best players we have. He was a mad man all over the field with tackles and earned himself the Shark Head and Defensive Player of the Week Honors!

*Offensive Player of the Week*
Alex Parham is best described by the word ELECTRIC and it may be a 3 step slant or a 5 yard hitch that he can turn into a 60 yard Tuddy and that has earned him this weeks Infinity Gauntlet and All Its Stones!

*Work Force Player of the Week*
Hayden Bedwell came back to us this year and has been awesome to be around. He is engaged he’s asking football questions and is ready to make his mark on the field and for all that great attitude and effort he has won the Championship Belt and become our WorkForce Player of the Week
