Bonnie Sprinkle AFAA Certified Personal Trainer since 1992, NABF(North American Bodybuilding Federation) Certified since 1999. Bonnie retired & closed the gym September 1, 2013. This page is now dedicated to health & fitness motivation. I hope to dispel common fitness myths & discourage readers from following quick fixes & fads. With so many sites promoting dangerous fads, gimmicks, products and d
ownright dangerous fad diets, I hope to provide a safe haven for common sense healthy information. I'm happy if I can inform & discourage at least one person to stay away from the MLM marketers promoting "lose weight now/get rich now" scams. The just anybody who loses weight can be a "fitness coach mentality". My goal is to give information that will encourage you to make small, steady health improvements that your doctor will approve of while giving you lifelong improvement. I'm currently 70 years old, continue to train & follow local bodybuilding competitions. Participate in biking, running, kayaking, swimming, snorkel, SUP, x-country skiing, ride motor cycle, weight lifting and other sorts of adventure activities just for the fun of it! I love the ropes course at Adirondack Extreme & have completed the entire course including the final black course many times. When I started exercise & lifting weights 40 years ago at 30 years old, I weighed 90 lbs or less, don't know my body fat % but I bet it was 3O to 35%...I was skinny fat! toothpicks for arms, no tone, no legs, no butt, no energy! Many people scoffed and scolded me for exercising. They would say you can't lose any more weight, why are you exercising? I would explain that I was exercising for weight gain & to gain muscle. Exercise helps to give you an appetite. Now my body fat is usually around 15 to 17% and my weight about 110. Many people don't recognize that too thin is just as dangerous as too big.
