Results for the 4th and final race of the season are in!
A big thank you to Cumberland County Parks & Recreation for being amazing to work with, Cumberland County Rescue Squad for keeping us safe and informed at all races, Drew Delorenzo and Nichole Barnhart Barton and the CCHS and SMHS High School Cross Country Teams for help at every race, Sarah Jayne Kuffel for helping the finish line run smoothly, Louie DeLorenzo for starting the races (and giving guidance and support), and Vicki Mackzum for timing the races and helping me endlessly throughout the season.

Thank you most of all to the runners and their families for making this season a success!

Tomorrow is our final race of the season at Duer Soccer Complex!
Boys will start at 4:30 with girls to follow at approximately 4:45. We will let the boys finish before starting the girls.
Parents and coaches, as you are putting bibs on, please be sure to use four pins. This really helps with timing. If you need extra pins, I will have them at check in.

UPDATE - ROAD IS OPEN AND RACES WILL CONTINUE ACCORDING TO SCHEDULE

Hello all,
At this time, there is a portion of 127 North that is closed, which includes the entry to Duer Soccer Complex. I will keep everyone as up-to-date and informed as possible.

If the road is reopened and we are able to begin on time, I will let you all know the moment I know. We do anticipate the road will be open and available for us to continue according to schedule.

If the road is not reopened in time, we will have to delay the start. Our backup plan is if the road is reopened by 4:30, we will start the races at 5:30.

If the road is not reopened by 4:30, we will be cancelling the races today.

I appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

Race 3 is tomorrow for our Elementary Cross Country League at Duer Soccer Complex starting at 4:30.
A few important things:
1. The course has changed slightly. Please see the course map for more details. Runners will run the inside loop first and then the outside loop second. The start line and finish line have moved up slightly from where they were during Race 1.
2. The entrance directly in front of the finish line will be roped off at race time. Please do not try to enter through this gate opening! This is directly on the course and interferes with athletes who are competing. There are plenty of other entrances that can be used.
3. We will start with the boys at 4:30 and girls will run at approximately 4:45. The goal is to let the boys finish before starting the girls.
We are looking forward to a great race and beautiful weather! Can’t wait to see everyone there!

The second race of the season will be this Saturday, September 9 at Stone Memorial High School.
**Please note, the day will start with High School Cross Country, followed by the Middle School teams racing, and then Elementary Cross Country teams.

Elementary Boys Start Time: 11:30
Elementary Girls Start Time: 11:50

Today kicked off our first race for the 2023 Fall Elementary Cross Country Season! Thank you to CCHS and SMHS High School Cross Country Teams and their coaches Drew Delorenzo and Nichole Barnhart Barton, the Cumberland County Rescue Squad, Louie DeLorenzo, Vicki Mackzum, Cumberland County Parks & Recreation and Mason Fox, all the coaches, and families for making today possible.
This was our first race at Duer Soccer Complex. We loved the open course and opportunity for spectators and coaches to have eyes on athletes the entire race. This race allowed us to see what worked well and what needs work for the upcoming races. Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding as we work to make everything run as smoothly as possible.

Tomorrow is the big day! We are so excited about this season and to see all of our runners compete. It looks like the weather is going to be nice and give us a beautiful day!
***Please note there are parts of the course with concrete walkways - if a runner is planning to wear spikes, they can stay to the side of these areas in the grass but I would not recommend spikes for this course.
Our goal is to start promptly at 4:30 with the boys and follow with the girls at 4:35.
Check-in will be at the covered tables beside the Start Line - this is where coaches will come and pick up bibs/raceday packets - it is marked on the course map.
For those who have never been to Duer, there are restrooms and the concession stand will be open.
We are looking forward to a great day tomorrow!
