🏆 AAU Taekwondo Nationals 2026 Recap 🏆

What a week it has been!

22 competitors represented Kentucky Tae Kwon Do on the national stage, and they left everything they had on the mats. From first-time Nationals competitors to seasoned veterans, every athlete showed determination, resilience, and heart.

Together, our team earned an incredible 38 medals:
🥇 6 Gold
🥈 11 Silver
🥉 21 Bronze

While medals are exciting, they only tell part of the story. This week was filled with personal bests, tough matches, new friendships, unforgettable memories, and countless moments that reminded us what being part of this team is all about.

To our athletes—thank you for your hard work and dedication. To our coaches and families —thank you for the countless hours, encouragement, and support that made this journey possible.

We’re beyond proud of every competitor who represented Kentucky Tae Kwon Do at Nationals. Now it’s time to head home, celebrate everything we’ve accomplished, and start preparing for what comes next.

Not every day ends with hardware, but we’re just as proud of Bella Span and Claire Dukes for stepping on the mat, putting it all out there, and refusing to back down. Sometimes the brackets have other plans.
