I regret to announce that I am pulling out of the 2025 CMRA season. This has been a very difficult decision to make as I’m still able and hungry to fight for victories. Sometimes you have to choose the future over the present.

My son, , has 2 national events that conflict with CMRA in 2025 and I need to be there for him. In addition, he has recently been registered to compete in his first international event in China so we need to save/raise funds for that opportunity as well. No room for the old man’s racing budget this year.

Chris Hamlett, , and pirellimotousa have been outstanding for us and stepped up their support going in to 2025, to include support for Maverick. The news of my decision came with some disappointment but I’m grateful for their understanding of the situation I am in. We’ll still be running their tires for track days and coaching to stay sharp (I’m not retiring yet!!).

and and will continue to keep our bikes pristine and performing as I’ll continue to be an ambassador for their shop and mentor/coach for their members (kill it this weekend Matt and !).

I am sorry to all my sponsors and supporters for pulling out but grateful for all of their understanding and continued support.

Good luck to everyone this weekend and for the rest of the season…and to my competitors, you’re welcome 🤪.

Round 3 at MSR Cresson CCW:

P2, P3 (dang you 😆), P2

We felt good with pace heading into the races but a bunch of bad starts and mistakes were too much to overcome for a win. Overall, I feel grateful we could bring home good points after a stupid tip over on Sunday on my 660 at the start of race 2 (looped it 🤦‍♂️) left me slightly injured( suit and airbag kept it from being worse!). Always a lot of fast guys to have to fight with in the HW classes! Congrats to on the sweep. We had hoped to make it harder for ya but couldn’t put things together and get it done.

It was awesome to see so many members having fun and killing it. Congrats to all of them and huge tip of the hat to and for supporting so many of us 🙏. Ya’ll put in some work! 🙌

Special thanks to for all the support this weekend 🙌.

tires were obviously the ones to be on this weekend and thanks to for providing the great support and the extra sticky I needed to make passes.

Thank you for the perfect paint job! Just need some graphics to finish it up…

I’m on the mend and on racer dad duty this weekend in CA, but we’ll come back fighting next round 💪.

CMRA Rd 2: Hallett was a lot of fun and we finally made a breakthrough for the track that has given me a lot of trouble on the R1. We experimented with a pretty big change in set up thanks to help and I really liked it. Got our first Hallett win (ASBK) and was battling hard with for a second W in Formula 1 until we came together. Swipe to see the video clip of the incident. I apologized in person and will again here. I’m sorry for ruining the chance for a great battle to the end for a potential 1-2 finish. It was a split second decision to release the brake lever when he went a little wide (I expected a little wider) and I needed a few more inches to make it stick. We touched and I was on the ground. I’m glad he at least got to finish the race and get on the podium for . I felt really good in that race, my Pirelli tires were working great, and I think we were headed into the 1:14s until my mistake. We still ended up with a PB of 1:15.3.

and worked their tails off all weekend for the whole team. They are the VIPs of the weekend and we couldn’t have done it without them. Thank you guys 🙏.

The new surface was great, the BBQ provided by the Westby’s was amazing, leathers, vest, and kept me safe, the RV was cozy, and the company in the pits was fantastic.

Thanks to everyone that supports this old man still trying to stay young and in the fight 👨‍🦳. I live for this stuff. Feeling strong for the next round…

CMRA Round 1: Temperamental Houston Weather
racers had a challenging weekend of weather changes that caught a lot of people out (hope everyone that crashed heals up quick!). We tried to get comfortable getting on the gas throughout the weekend but couldn’t match the stars of the weekend, and . Hats off to them for being in a league of their own in challenging conditions and giving the crowd some great battles. We still managed to squeak out a couple of podiums, despite being hunted down by several fast racers.

Thank you for allowing your shop and your hardworking team of and to support us members at the races. It’s an incredible privilege for us all.

Thank you , , and Chris for the amazing tires and support again in 2025. We didn’t utilize all the rear grip available so we’ll work on that for next time.

Thank you and for the parts needed to get my bike out of limp mode from the Sat race.

Thank you and for the suspension support and consulting.

Thank you to my whole family, friends, sponsors, and supporters. Can’t wait until next round ✊.
