Meet your referee team!
This dedicated group spends their Saturdays keeping our games safe, on time, fair, and fun! You might also recognize them as coaches, adults with full time jobs, and full time students who also play (Let’s Go Warriors!!)! Youth sports needs you!! If you are also a safe, fair, and fun person come join the team!

Who's ready for Soccer Saturday tomorrow?!?! Here's a couple small ways to make a BIG difference!

-Show up at the fields at 7:30am to help set up the fields.

-Bring snacks or treats to the main tent for volunteers, many who spend 10+ hours at the fields on Saturday.

-If your game is the last game of the day, help break down the field by taking flags and trash cans to the middle tent and help take goal nets down.

-Leave your pets at home and let friends and family know there are no pets allowed on or near the fields.

We can ALL contribute to successful soccer Saturdays!! See you out on the fields tomorrow. ⚽️🤩❤️​

Another successful ⚽️ Soccer Saturday in the books! From tiny clean up crew volunteers, to new youth refs in training and their mentors, to our biggest sponsors, and everyone in between, we can't thank you enough for all you do to make soccer happen for the kids in Del Norte County.

Consider supporting the folks that support your athletes. 🤩

And remember, you have the opportunity to help every Saturday by showing up at the fields at 7:30am for set up, staying after the last game to help break down, and/or dropping off snacks or treats for the volunteers that make soccer happen, many who spen​d 10+ hours at the fields. We appreciate every moment of help we can get! 🙌❤️

UPDATE: As of 08/17 @ 5:40PM, there are no additional refs that have signed up. Not looking good for a tournament.

This is going to be a lengthy straight forward message:

Dear RCFC family & community,

With our season underway, we are game planning for important future dates. The main one being, the end of the year tournament for divisions U10-U14…

As of today, we do not have enough trained refs to cover the amount of games that would be played for the tournament on October 17th.

We are giving the community until August 29th to step up and complete the following requirements to become a trained ref for our kids to play:

#1. Register as a ref in the sports connect system: www.ayso8029.org

#2. Submit & pass the background check requirement that gets sent to your email when you sign up as a volunteer

#3. Complete the online training in the sports connect system under the AYSOU tab

#4. Show up for the in person training that will be set up once we get enough refs to complete the first 3 steps.

Last year we had to disappointingly cancel the tournament due to weather, in hopes that the weather is good this year, it would be devastating to not be able to run a tournament because of lack of volunteers. As a board, we are stretched too thin already. This will take an enormous effort by the community to pull this off.

If you have any questions please feel free to message the FB page and a board member will assist you. We appreciate all the help we have received thus far, we do not want the support to go unnoticed. Thank you all for another successful soccer Saturday and we look forward to more successful training sessions starting Monday!
