Bulldogs Baseball Family,

My name is Jamie True. The new head coach at Holmes High School.

I'm excited to be joining Holmes High School not just as a longtime teacher, but now as the new Head Baseball Coach! I’ve taught at Holmes for the past nine years, and I’m thrilled to bring the same energy and commitment to our baseball program.

Baseball has been a big part of my life for years, and I can’t wait to help our Bulldogs grow stronger every season. My goal is to build a program that works hard, plays the game the right way, and creates something our players, families, and community can be proud of.

I’ve always said Covington was a baseball town long before it was ever a basketball town — and I want to honor that tradition while building for the future.

Students and players, my classroom door is always open if you have questions or just want to talk baseball. Parents, you can reach me anytime through the school or right here on this page.

Wanted to give a quick update as I just told the team. Today I resigned as head baseball coach. An opportunity came up for me to pursue a teaching position in another district and I accepted it today. Thank you guys for keeping up with us either on Facebook or attending a game. The support the program received the last 3 years has been phenomenal and I would struggle to thank everybody individually. I’m sure the next guy will do a great job for the program and look forward to seeing the Bulldogs continuing to develop on and off the field.

Tonight was the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Junior and Senior All Star game at Dixie Heights. Junior Tyler Brashear and Seniors Braxton Graves and Ezaiah were able to participate for Holmes. It’s awesome seeing our kids compete with and against a bunch of other kids from around NKY.

In the Senior game the East was down 7-4 going into the top of the 7th. Ezaiah Tillman scored the tying run on a passed ball before the East took an 8-7 lead into the bottom of the the 7th. Braxton Graves came on for the save for the East team where they ultimately won 8-7. It was a great day to be a Bulldog!

Last day of the school year means it’s time for the 5th annual Bulldogs Give Back! Great day with some of our guys helping out Mr. Huhn with some yard work.
