Happy Spring Semester! 🌟 As we kick off a new term, we’re excited to continue building and growing our HOSA community. HOSA is still a newer club here, but this semester we’re aiming to connect even more with students in the healthcare program.

IWCC Students:

We are currently focused on recruiting members for HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) here at IWCC! Our plan is to hold an all-member meeting in January when the spring semester begins.

I’m also looking for students who are interested in taking on leadership roles within HOSA during their time at IWCC. This is a great opportunity to develop skills, build connections, and make a meaningful impact.

Hi everyone! My name is Tim Campbell and currently im the president for HOSA.
HOSA-Future Health Professionals, is a global student organization that promotes career opportunities in the healthcare industry and while you’re here on IWCC campus. HOSA gives students an opportunity for
• Career Exposure and Skill Development
• Networking Opportunities
• Competitive Events
• Leadership Development
• Community Service and Volunteering
• Professionalism and Ethics

This is a newly established club on campus, and as the current president of HOSA at Iowa Western, my primary goal is to build a strong foundation for the organization. I am focused on recruiting healthcare students who are passionate about the field and growth, while also preparing newer members to step into leadership roles in the future. Together, we can ensure the continuous growth and success of HOSA at Iowa Western.

A Little About Me:
• I’m currently a 4tth semester nursing student
• I currently work as an LPN in the emergency department (I was blessed to have this position created for me after working 14+ years as a tech)
• When I finish my RN, I’m hoping to take a position at a Level 1 Trauma Center, and build my skills
• Eventually, I want to purse a MSN in nursing and focus on Healthcare Policy.
o Gives me an umbrella of things I can do that I’m interested in.

Enough about me, I hope to meet all of you guys in person who are interested! If you see me in the hallway, don’t be afraid to say Hi! (Also, don’t be surprised, I just love talking to people so I might beat you to it)
