🏈🐾 TOMORROW IS GAME DAY, PANTHERS! 🐾🏈

✨🎀 THE NEW UNIFORMS ARE FINALLY MAKING THEIR GAME DAY DEBUT TOMORROW, AND WE CANNOT WAIT TO SEE OUR GIRLS SHOW THEM OFF!!! 🎀✨ These girls have been working hard, and we are SO excited to see them take the sidelines in their new uniforms and bring all that ! 📣🐾💛 All cheerleaders need to be checked in at 2:00 p.m. GAME DAY READY! Please plan accordingly for parking, using the restroom and walking to the other side of the track. There is not a lot of parking right outside of the football field entrance.

🏈We will cheer together as ONE GROUP tomorrow for TWO games against North Harrison:
📣 3rd & 4th Grade Division | 2:15 p.m.
📣 5th & 6th Grade Division | 3:30 p.m.

🎀 GAME DAY READY: Girls should arrive in their provided uniform $shirt, butterfly shorts \+ socks$, black racerback sports bra or tank under their uniform shirt, tennis shoes and hair up with their provided black bow. Please have your cheerleader use the restroom BEFORE checking in at 2:00 and send WATER, WATER + EXTRA WATER! 💦

If your cheerleader was not at practice Thursday and did not receive her uniform, Cory will be at the field by 1:30 p.m. with it. Please plan to arrive early enough for your cheerleader to get her uniform, change and be completely GAME DAY READY by the 2:00 p.m. check-in.

📣 ATTENDANCE IS IMPORTANT! We know weekends are busy, but we hope our girls can make game days a priority whenever possible! Our high school cheerleaders, coaches and volunteers put a lot of time and heart into making Youth Cheerleading a great experience for the girls, and having our team together is a big part of what makes it so much fun. 🖤💛

🙋‍♀️ TWO PARENT VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FOR EACH GAME! Volunteers will need to bring a chair and can sit along the side of the track with the girls. If you can help with either game, please send Cory a private message through the sportsYou Chat or Facebook Messenger on the Youth Cheerleading page.

☀️ ONE MORE FAVOR: If anyone has a pop-up canopy the girls could use for shade during breaks or a battery-powered fan to help them cool off, it would be MUCH appreciated! Anything that gives the girls a chance to step out of the heat and sun between cheering would be helpful.

📣 YOUTH CHEER UPDATE | PRACTICE + UNIFORM NIGHT!!! 📣

🖤💛 Practice will be INSIDE this evening from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Please enter through Door 13. The girls will be in the aux gym, immediately to the left when entering Door 13.

🎀 UNIFORMS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED AT 7:00 P.M.
Parents, please plan to be there when practice is dismissed so any sizing issues can be addressed before everyone leaves. Cory will be distributing uniforms but also has a daughter playing a volleyball game this evening, so it is very important that someone is there for each cheerleader right at 7:00 p.m.

📣 THIS SUNDAY, THE 23RD, AT PEKIN
The girls will cheer together as ONE GROUP again this weekend. Beginning next week, when the 1st & 2nd Grade Division begins, the girls will split into two groups going forward.

⚠️ If your cheerleader CANNOT cheer this Sunday, the 23rd, at Pekin, please let Cory know ASAP! There are participation requirements that must be met in order for the entire group to cheer, so an accurate count is needed as soon as possible.

🏈 The girls will cheer at Pekin this Sunday for the 2:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. games. TWO parent volunteers are needed for EACH game. Please refer back to this past Sunday’s post for details regarding parent volunteers.

⚠️📣 GAME DAY UPDATE AS OF 2:20 P.M. ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 15TH: Due to the heat advisory, all games scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, August 16th, have been CANCELED. 📣⚠️ The health and safety of our athletes comes first. We will see all of our cheerleaders at practice on Thursday, August 20th! 🐾 Stay cool and enjoy your Sunday, Panthers! 🖤💛

⚠️ UPDATE AS OF 11:00 A.M. ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 15TH: Due to the heat advisory, games will NOT be played between 1:00 p.m and 5:00 p.m. tomorrow, as the safety and health of our athletes is our priority. ⚠️ There is still a possibility games will be played tomorrow evening, with our girls cheering at 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., so please continue to check back for updates!

We are taking our on the road tomorrow, August 16th, to North Harrison! 🖤💛

Our girls will cheer together as ONE group again this weekend for two games:

🏈 3rd & 4th Grade — 2:15 p.m.
🏈 5th & 6th Grade — 3:30 p.m.

After the 3:30 game, we are DONE for the day! 🙌

📣 WE NEED 2–4 PARENT VOLUNTEERS!

Our CCHS Cheerleaders are not able to travel to away games with us, so we need TWO parent volunteers on the sidelines for each game to help supervise and support the girls. This ensures that if one adult needs to take a cheerleader to the restroom or step away with a girl, another adult is still with the group.

You do NOT have to know anything about cheerleading to help! 😁 Volunteers will be given a list of cheers, and for the most part, our veteran cheerleaders will take the lead.

We can have 2 parents cover both games OR 2 different parents for each game, for a total of 4 volunteers. If we do not have two parent volunteers for each game, unfortunately, we cannot cheer.

🐾 A REMINDER ABOUT ATTENDANCE

Our cheerleaders are expected to attend our scheduled games, including away games. Because we are traveling this weekend, we need at least 20 girls in attendance in order for our program to cheer.

We have almost 30 girls in our program, so we should have a great group representing Corydon at North Harrison! If your cheerleader cannot attend Sunday, please let us know as soon as possible so we know our numbers ahead of time.

👕 WHAT TO WEAR

Unfortunately, our new Youth Cheer shirts did not arrive in time, so we will NOT have them for tomorrow.

Please have your cheerleader arrive wearing:

• Corydon T-shirt 🖤💛
• Black shorts
• White socks
• Tennis shoes 👟
• Hair up
• If she has a bow, please wear a black, gold, or white bow 🎀

If your daughter does not have a Corydon T-shirt, please let Cory know TODAY.

☀️ WEATHER

We are aware of the heat advisory and are watching the weather closely. The safety of our girls is important to us, and we will communicate any changes or additional information as needed.

💧 WATER, WATER + EXTRA WATER! 💧

With the heat, please make sure your cheerleader comes prepared with PLENTY of water tomorrow! A small cooler with several bottles of water is a great idea. Please do not send her with just one bottle and assume it will be enough. We would much rather the girls go home with extra water than run out while they are cheering!

Please also encourage your cheerleader to start hydrating before we ever get to the field. ☀️💧

Due to the rain, practice for TODAY, August 13th, has been moved INSIDE!

⚠️ This change is for CHEER ONLY. Youth Football practice will remain outside as scheduled.

Coach Daily and the CCHS Cheerleaders will meet the girls in the lobby at Door 13.

💧 Please make sure your cheerleader brings a drink!

👟 Friendly reminder: Hair needs to be up and tennis shoes are required in order to participate in practice. Please make sure the girls arrive ready to go!

📣 A QUICK REMINDER ABOUT ATTENDANCE

Our Youth Cheerleading program does not have tryouts, and we love being able to give girls the opportunity to be part of our program! With that opportunity, though, consistent attendance is important. Each girl is part of our program and plays an important role in what we are building together.

Practices are where the girls learn their cheers, motions, positioning, basic cheer skills, sideline expectations, and how to work together as a team. Being at practice helps them feel confident and prepared when they step onto the sidelines on Sundays.

We will also be recognizing attendance at the end of the season with awards and certificates, so showing up and being an active part of the program matters! We completely understand that things come up and an occasional absence may be unavoidable. We simply ask that families make practices and games a priority and communicate with us when your cheerleader cannot attend.

Our goal is about so much more than cheering at football games on Sundays. 🖤💛 We want to invest in these girls individually, help them grow in their cheer skills and confidence ✨, encourage leadership, and teach them what it means to be part of a team.

We are excited to keep building on a great start to our season and cannot wait to see everyone tonight!

📣 GAME DAY – YOUTH CHEERLEADERS! 🖤💛

It is time to kick off our season! 🏈 The Jamboree is TODAY at the Corydon Central High School football field!

ALL of our youth cheerleaders will be cheering together today! There are no separate groups or game assignments for the Jamboree.

⏰ ARRIVAL & WARM-UP

All cheerleaders need to arrive game-day ready no later than 5:00 p.m.

Please take your cheerleader to the restroom BEFORE bringing her to meet the CCHS Cheerleaders. Once checked in, the girls will meet the high school cheerleaders at the shelter house and warm up behind the bleachers before heading to the sidelines.

• Break: 6:05
• Cheer: 6:40

👕 WHAT TO WEAR

Our new Corydon Central Youth Cheerleading shirts have not arrived yet, so for today please wear:

💧 BRING PLENTY OF WATER!

Please send your cheerleader with a small cooler or 2–3 bottles of water. The girls will be outside and cheering, so please make sure they have plenty to stay hydrated throughout the evening.

🚫 No snacks will be allowed on the sidelines this year. The girls will be given breaks between games and at halftime, so they will have opportunities to grab a snack, use the restroom, cool down, and get anything else they need before returning to the sidelines.

• Admission is $3 per person for 1st grade and up
• Kindergarten and under are FREE
• Full concessions will be open 🌭🥤🍕

If you have a daughter entering 1st – 6th grade in the Corydon Central feeder system—including CES, CIS, Heth-Washington, New Middletown, St. Joseph Catholic School, and homeschool families—we would L💛VE to have her join our Youth Cheer program!

We will include a link to Tuesday’s registration post below, which has additional information about the program, registration, and what your cheerleader will receive. 📣🐾🚨 TODAY’S THE DAY! Youth Cheerleading registration is TONIGHT! 🚨🐾📣

We know tonight is not the most convenient night with the first day of school tomorrow, but with the Jamboree this Saturday, we need to get everyone registered and uniform orders submitted so our cheerleaders are ready to kick off the season!

If your child is entering 1st – 6th grade in the Corydon Central feeder system—including our homeschool families—we would love to have them join us! Whether they are a returning cheerleader or trying it for the very first time, we cannot wait to see everyone tonight at 6:00 p.m. and officially begin another season of !

Registration & Parent Meeting:
🗓️ Today (Tuesday, August 4th)
🕕 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
📍 Corydon Central Junior High School (Enter through Door 13)

The evening will include:
✅ Registration
✅ A brief parent meeting (we ask that all parents remain until the meeting has concluded)
✅ An introductory practice where the girls will learn our most basic cheers before taking the sidelines at this Saturday’s Jamboree

Our goal is to wrap up by 7:30 p.m., but we may finish a little earlier.

📣 Who Can Join?
Youth Cheer is open to students entering 1st – 6th grade in the Corydon Central feeder system, including students attending Corydon Elementary School, Corydon Intermediate School, Heth-Washington Elementary, New Middletown Elementary, Saint Joseph Catholic School, and families. No experience is necessary!

🏆 New This Season!
As we continue building on the strong foundation of our youth cheer program, we are taking things to the next level by introducing end-of-season awards to recognize dedication, leadership, spirit, growth, attendance, and more. We cannot wait to celebrate our athletes throughout the season!

We are looking for parent volunteers for each of our three cheer groups. At home games, our high school cheerleaders will help lead and support the girls, but for away games we will need two parent volunteers per group so our athletes always have a trusted adult with them. If you are willing to help throughout the season, we would greatly appreciate it!
