01/07/2025
Hope everyone had a good Christmas. We’re getting things swinging for 2025 at Lavonia Speedway and we’ve got some big developments for next season. We are still ironing out details on a couple of them, so there will be more in-depth announcements coming once everything is finalized.
- One of the things we are most excited about for 2025 is our streaming deal with Hunt The Front. The majority of our races next season will be live streamed on Hunt The Front TV. This is a huge deal for our Racers, their Sponsors, and Lavonia Speedway Sponsors. The reach we (as a track), and you (as a racer), can offer to sponsors has been greatly increased by this deal. Use this NOW to help you get funding. By streaming these races, we hope to get our racers the exposure they need to help them elevate their programs and showcase their talents. I think we had some of the best racing in the area last season, and now we can show that off to a huge number of people. We hope the exposure of the streaming deal will attract more cars, put on a better show, and put more butts in the stands.
- As part of our deal with HTF, we will be introducing the Stock Car Challenge Series. The SCCS will be a season long points championship for our Stock 8 style cars. As discussed at the rules meeting, we will allow our updated Stock 8 rules, the Factory Stock Alliance Rules, South Ga Road Warrior rules, and Thunder Bomber rules - with adjustments made to keep all rule sets competitive. Competition rules are still being finalized, but there will be some wrinkles thrown in to the line-up procedures to add some excitement for the fans and racers. There will be HUGE MONEY on the line for the Stock Car Challenge Series, so make your plans to be with us if your car falls into any of the rule sets mentioned above. In addition to live streaming, HTF will also be producing a weekly highlight show for the SCCS that will be released on their Youtube channel. This is an added layer of exposure for our racers and the title sponsor for the SCCS.
- 2025 Weekly classes will be; Limited Late Model, 602 Late Model, Street Stock (Modified Street), Stock Car Challenge Series, and Stock 4. We will rotate in FWD and Open Wheel Modified as scheduling allows. While I know this will be unpopular with some, we feel a condensed show is necessary to stay viable going into the future. We will use this format to expand fan interaction, make our show more family friendly, and add activities for our younger fans to keep building the future fan base of our sport.
- Limited Late Model! We will be competing under 2024 Blue Ridge Late Model rules, with 2 exceptions. Everyone will run Lavonia Tire (AR Pro 2/3) rule regardless of which engine package you have, and engine packages other than 525 will be able to utilize some form of small LR side board/spoiler. We do not intend to penalize built motor cars quite as much as straight BRLM rules would, but we do feel strongly that the 525 provides the most financially feasible way forward for the LLM class. As part of our alliance with BRLM, we will also be running a mini series (in addition to the year long Lavonia LLM points championship) that will allow BRLM tour competitors to compete along side our regulars for a $2,000 to win Mini Series Championship purse. Our goal for these changes is to increase our weekly LLM car counts, and provide even more Late Model action for our fans. The vision is to have 18-20 car Limited shows on a regular basis, and we feel this is the only way to have a chance at achieving that goal that hasn’t already been tried.
- Our schedule is very close to being ready for release, but it will look very much like last years schedule with a few twists. We will still be alternating weekends with Toccoa Raceway. That seemed to produce positive results for both tracks, fans, and racers last year.
-We will have 3 SUPER LATE MODEL SHOWS in 2025. (Free T shirt to the first one to guess which weekend we will be adding supers to for the 3rd show.)
-The brand new 525 open wheel modified series will be making a visit. I expect that to be a wild show for sure.
-We are also working on a big show for our 602 Late Model division.
We have more announcements coming in the next couple of weeks, along with detailed posts for each topic above. As soon as weather permits, we are starting on a full repaint of the entire facility, some much needed drainage work, surface prep/clay, and a few other facility improvements. Be READY for the last weekend in February!
If you or your company is interested in the MASSIVE exposure that Lavonia Speedway can provide for the 2025 season, shoot us your email address and we can send over our marketing packet. We still have availability for the title sponsor of the Stock Car Challenge Series and the Limited Late Model Mini-Series. With HTFtv, we will have the capability to include video commercials for your company in all live streams. We also have our traditional victory lane, banner, and billboard sponsorships available for 2025 as well.
We’re looking forward to having everybody back at the track for the biggest season in Lavonia Speedway History. Since the messages are already coming in, we will open up renewal for pit spots tomorrow. We will be releasing 2024 Points Banquet info in the coming days as well. Hope everybody has a great start to the New Year. See y’all in a few weeks!
