TTU Chem-Med Club

TTU Chem-Med Club TTU's Chemical-Medical Sciences Club caters to pre-professional students through peer-mentoring, volunteering, and networking opportunities.

We are a group of pre-professional students that work together to do community service projects, gain experience in our fields of interest, network with professors and local health professionals, and learn more about professional schools. Last year, we hosted the area’s first Rural Area Medical Clinic and we’re planning another one for spring 2017! We value giving back to our community and provide

volunteer opportunities for our members, such as: Structured Athletics for Challenged Children, RAM Clinic, Bingo night at local nursing homes, peer-mentoring for TTU students, and more. If you are looking for insight into applying/surviving graduate school, ways to spruce up your resume, volunteer work, and field experience/networking opportunities, this is the club for you! We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 11 am in Foster 233. Join us for wonderful guest speakers and free pizza!

Last CHEM-MED meeting of the semester! Join us for the student panel! You will hear from 7 current Tech students/recent graduates who have recently been accepted to health professional graduate school in the following areas:
Medicine (MD and DO)
Dentistry
Physician Assistant
Physical Therapy
Pharmacy
Dentistry
These students will answer your questions about the paths that they have taken to get accepted to health professional graduate school. Bring your questions and get ready!!!

Our Guest Speaker is Dr. Caleb Cantrell, MD! He is a TTU alumni and attended the University of Tennessee College of Medicine (UTHSC). As of now he works at DeKalb Community Hospital and serves as the Medical Examiner for DeKalb County. We will also be selling graduate cords for $5. We hope to see you there!
