In the Men's 1/2 race teams worked hard to create a breakaway early. A move was established halfway through that had three of the strongest teams represented, Good Guys Racing, Rockland/ Talent and Foundation NYC. The chase was tampered by teammates of those in the break and from the outside it looked as though the break would make it to the line, however Alec Ratzell of Good Guys Racing had a different plan in mind. With 10 laps to go he attacked and did not look back. Ratzell padded his lead and give him time to celebrate with high fives from the crowd all the way to the line.

In the Women's 1/2/3 race it would be Automatic Racing that would animate the race creating a pace that would drop half the field. Despite their best efforts to go off the front solo, Automatic's Kim Stoveld would settle on a late race attack that unfortunately saw them caught with two corners to go. Kyra Marett would open her sprint up into the final corner and hold on through the line to take the win.

The Masters Men's 35+/45+ was attritional from the start with several riders going off the front or out the back early. A promising move would go halfway through only to be attacked by eventual winner Baris Aytan. Aytan would pad his lead out to 35 seconds cruising in for the win solo while the field sprinted for the remaining podium spots in the 35+ and the overall podium in the 45+ race.

The attacks started early in the Men's 2/3 race with things stretched out from lap one. After several attacks softened up the field it would be Victor Nicolet who would take a crack halfway through on a solo move. Despite the best efforts from the field, including bridge attempts and riders driving it on the front, Nicolet could not be caught. He would roll in with a healthy margin on the field with Nathaniel Meister taking the field sprint ahead of Nicolet's teammate, Matthew Golwacki.

You can always count on the Master's Men 55+ race to be a fun one to watch. The majority of these riders have raced against each other for years so they know what to expect out of each and keep the racing fun and exciting to each other. Rivalries play out year in and year out. On the new course it would be Alessandro Matteucci that would get the jump of the rest of the field to win the sprint by a commanding margin.

Masters Men 55+ Presented by the Cohen Family Foundation
🥇 Alessandro Matteucci (Healthy & Happy Racing)
🥈 Mark Light (Team Cadence Cyclery p/b Waldo Racing)
🥉 Dean Pierson (Ocean Velo Club / Culver and Pierson Housing Solutions)

In the Category 3/4 men there would be several attempts to break up the race. The nature of the course left open opportunities for late race attacks. Felix Heinrich would do just that with a perfectly timed late race attack in the last lap to hold on for the win.

Men Category 3/4 Presented by Zarwin Baum
🥇Felix Heinrich (Musette Cycling Team)
🥈 Evan Guydish (Bike Works p/b Fred Beans)
🥉Billy Scott (Soar Foundation)

It was great to see the next crop of riders coming out and racing the women's 4/ novice category this past weekend. The tough course created a lot of gaps in the field and in the end it was Emmaline Daggett who would ride away and claim the top step at Conshy Classic

Our largest field of the day, the men's Cat 4/Novice did not disappoint. The race featured multiple attacks throughout with riders testing their luck on the technical course. It would not be until later in the race that Miles Colescott would slip away, gaining a hefty margin over the chasing peloton. Derek Sottile would take the field sprint with a bike throw ahead of Timmy Doughten.
