Appodaca Dirt Works back at it again this past weekend! Dillon and Jesse did great in their classes! Dillon finishing P8 and Jesse at P10!

Dillon’s 3rd start in the car and it went far better than anticipated! Scratched the heat and finished P5. Started P7 in the feature and was in 6th for half the race before I decided to loop it in the middle of turn 2. Quickly recovered and ran even better! Seat time was needed and it was achieved! This car is quick, now to just learn how to be consistent for 20 laps. Not bad for a rook.

Dad's first big race at it couldn't have gone much better. Both of my 2nd qualifiers were not necessarily fast, but they were clean, consistent, and most importantly- crash free. These runs earned TQ in both classes!
First final Saturday was Mudboss, and the nerves were at max! And early mistake got me behind, but the mistakes kept coming. Finishing P6 in the A-main is very respectable in a field of 25 cars.
By the time the Traxxas Modified main started, I was calm and relaxed. Got caught up on the second lap and slowly worked back up to second. Got lucky as the leader got caught up on the last corner as I drove by. TQ to P1! Bringing home the hardware for the AppodacaDirtWorks team and 517 RC Motorplex

Missed out on the LSDOS race a few weeks ago so it was good to be back out racing again! Track conditions were duuuuuusty all day until that sun went down! Was a learning curve on handling a slick track. Mother Nature was not kind to South Houston but the crew at 517 put in the work to give us the best track possible!

Dad:
- Mudboss: P3
- Traxxas Mod: P2
- 13.5 Sprint: P4

Dillon:
- Losi Sprint: P2
- Traxxas SuperStock: P3

Dads cars were hooking up quite well considering the layer of sand that was on the track. The feature all 3 cars were holding up great and running consistent! Had some FANTASTIC lead battles and position changes in the Traxxas classes, they really put on a good show for 4 minutes!

Dillon got an early lead in the day taking TQ in the Losi Sprint, starting pole but 10 Losi sprint cars in a feature can be quite hectic sometimes but it’s also makes for great entertainment. The SuperStock is still relatively new, trying to work out the quirks.
