Always saw these little “watermelons” pop up after a good rain on the deer lease, but never knew what they were. Turns out they’re Buffalo Gourd, a native wild squash that thrives in Texas. Pretty interesting what starts showing up when the rain finally comes.

Anybody else see these growing around their place?

A good evening under the green lights. Plenty of activity and some pretty cool footage, even if it’s just straight off the viewfinder.

Got some exciting stuff coming soon, so stay tuned. đź‘€

The Texas heat has a way of making you appreciate evenings like this.

Topping off feeders, checking lights, and making sure everything is ready for the next trip while there’s still a little color left in the sky. A little preparation now goes a long way later.

Some trees get more attention than others.

Started freshening this one up and the cameras stayed busy. The variety of visitors is always interesting, but one of them definitely wasn’t what I expected.

Which visitor surprised you the most?

Walked into the garage and found this guy coiled up right beside the door I usually use every day. Luckily, I opened the other door first this time because I’m not sure I would’ve spotted him until it was way too late.

This is your reminder to take an extra look around garages, barns, feeders, and equipment this time of year. Stay safe out there.

Summer nights, red lights, and the sounds of the wild. The blue nock tells the story, but it’s those nighttime sounds that keep calling us back. If you’ve spent enough nights out here, you know exactly what I mean.

One tiny detail told the whole story… 👀

This mature boar spun at the feeder and left behind a clue that was easy to miss in the darkness. If you watch closely, you’ll see exactly what caught my attention.

Did you spot it the first time?

SCOTT YORK with a close encounter under the green lights. A big boar with some serious cutters made an appearance, and the footage turned out too good not to share. Nights like this are why we spend so much time in the field.

A true giant in broad daylight. đź‘€

It’s not often you get a chance to watch a mature boar of this size moving during the day. Customer footage like this is exactly why trail cameras stay busy year-round.

Would you have guessed this boar was over 300 pounds?

Some deer are memorable. Others are unforgettable.

This low-fence 7x7 was one of those bucks. What makes this footage even cooler is the second camera angle behind the deer. Watch closely and you can actually see the arrow coming out of the blind from a completely different perspective.

A moment I’ll never forget and one of the most unique bucks I’ve ever had the opportunity to hunt.
