After a long, hot and humid night, the race finally got underway. Dominic would start 10th but immediately jumped to second place after the start when other cars struggled with the wet track.

He battled for 1st for multiple laps before getting pushed back into 5th position when the track started drying out. He almost got that podium finish but we've got another shot at it tonight.

From one racing family to another, we are deeply saddened to learn of Kyle's passing. Although we didn't know each other, we've crossed paths so many times at our local race tracks. Our hearts go out to Samantha, Brexton and Lennix during this difficult time. 😞

We're at Wake County Speedway for round 2 of the Bull Bash. Looks like it's taking a little longer to get the car dialed in this week, we'll be starting 4th for today's feature race.

Wake County Speedway Race 1 Update:
Dominic did a fantastic job during practice and qualifying after turning some of the quickest laps in the Semi Pro division. He would start first in the 25 lap feature race.

After leading 24 of the 25 laps, a respectable and fierce battle for first developed which allowed the 35 car to gain the lead position on the last turn of the last lap. Dominic would bring it home in second place with a .07 second disadvantage.

Race 2 is next Saturday, we hope to unload prepared and faster than the previous week; ready to take home the trophy!
