We are deeply grateful to Coach Carla Monte as she wraps up her incredible run as Head Coach and steps into a new role as a NH Lightning board member and League Catching Instructor.

For nearly a decade, Carla has selflessly volunteered her time, energy, and expertise to lead and develop our athletes. Her success on the field is only matched by her character off it—she is the embodiment of what makes NH Lightning special: selfless, player-first, knowledgeable, and passionate.

We also want to thank her family and employer for supporting her and sharing her with us for so many years.

Thank you, Coach Carla. We’re thrilled you’ll continue to share your love for the game and your deep experience with our entire program for years to come.

Our players showed grit and growth at NE Finest. Here’s a look at some of the impressive individual efforts across the NE Finest Showcase tournament, we couldn’t capture all of it but we’re so proud of them.

🔥 Abbie Vlacich (2028)

• 🔹 Launched a solo home run vs. CT Titans

• 🔹 Went 2-for-3 at the plate in the win

• 🔹 Pitched 6 innings, 7 Ks, 0 walks in that same game

• 🔹 Also threw 4 innings, 2 earned runs, 3 Ks vs. Untamed Softball

- 🔹 Pitched her 100th inning of the season.

🔥 Finley Heath (2028)

• 🔹 Delivered a clutch 2-RBI single in the top of the 7th to win vs. CT Titans

• 🔹 Had a hit in multiple games(including multiple doubles and a .500 BA) and played stellar defense (6 fielding chances in one game)

🔥 Brooke Miller (2027)

• 🔹 Went a perfect 2-for-2 and stole 2 bases vs. Untamed with 6 SB for the weekend.

• 🔹 Recorded hits and reached base consistently throughout the weekend

🔥 Aurelia Salce (2027)

• 🔹 Scored on a heads-up steal of home vs. LI Crush

• 🔹 Collected hits, 2 stolen bases, and contributed timely RBIs

🔥 Dorothy Ricard (2027)

• 🔹 Drove in runs in back-to-back games

• 🔹 Posted hits in multiple contests and contributed defensively

🔥 Payton Doherty (2026)

• 🔹 Batted a perfect 2-for-2 against LI Crush

• 🔹 Added hits and an RBI vs. Storm Academy

🔥 Abbey Sousa (2027)

• 🔹 Came through with a go-ahead RBI groundout vs. LI Crush

• 🔹 Showed hustle and contributed on both sides of the ball

🔥 Jaelyn Silvey & Annabelle Syvertson (2027s)

• 🔹 Both added key hits and RBIs during the weekend

• 🔹 Played solid defense throughout

• Johnson had a 4-K performance, allowing just 1 earned run over 4 innings

Great work today by Aurelia Salce (Hopkinton ‘27) at the Catchers Clinic and Abbie Vlacich (Proctor ‘28) at the Pitchers Clinic.

The full squad hits the field tomorrow at 9:30 AM and 11:15 AM — schedule attached through Sunday.

Finley Heath (Goffstown ‘28) and Brooke Miller (Tilton ‘27) were joined by Reagan Heath (Goffstown ‘30) from our 12U Poirier team at the SNHU/St. A’s ID Clinic today — a great opportunity right in our own backyard. There’s excellent college softball here in New Hampshire, and we’re grateful to have such easy access to it.

Next up, the team heads to NE Finest later this week, with several players attending the Showcase Camp on Thursday, including Vlacich (‘28), Salce (‘27), and Heath (‘28).

The team had a blast returning to local play for the first time in a month, going 5–1 and finishing runner-up while putting up some serious offense — 74 runs scored!

💪 Pitching Power:
Only 13 earned runs allowed, including a no-hitter by Vlacich.

Two tourneys left! After 3 straight weekends getting important experience at showcase tourneys, we’re happy to be home to play and volunteer in the Annual Caroline Farley Memorial Tourney. Games are Saturday in Concord, NH at 9:45, 1:15 and 4:45. Then we are at NE Finest the following weekend, schedule in the flyer!
