Thank you to everyone who came out to Columbus Vipers tryouts! We had a huge turnout and a lot of great talent.

⚾️🐍 VIPERS TRYOUT UPDATE 🐍⚾️

We had an awesome turnout at tryouts today! A lot of great kids came out, and there was definitely a lot of talent and solid fundamental baseball on the field. Thank you to every player and family who showed up and gave us the opportunity to evaluate them.

✅ We will be posting the roster numbers of the players who made the teams shortly, so please keep an eye on the page.

🌧️ IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR TOMORROW:
There will be NO secondary tryouts tomorrow. We made the decision to consolidate tryouts into one day today so we could get everything completed before the weather moved in. As many of you saw when we were leaving, the clouds were already starting to roll in, and we did not want families coming back tomorrow just to potentially have tryouts canceled because of rain.

So again, tryouts are officially COMPLETE for this weekend.

If your player was unable to attend this weekend but is still interested in joining the Columbus Vipers, please message me privately. We will always do our best to give every player a fair opportunity to be evaluated, and we will let you know directly whether they have earned a roster spot.

Thank you again to everyone who came out! Huge turnout, great baseball, and a lot of exciting talent.

Coach Henderson and Coach Garcia stepped off at 0300 this morning and completed the Royal Danish Air Force March — 12.6 miles with 30 lbs.

A really cool experience and a great reminder that the same things we ask from our players — discipline, toughness, commitment, and finishing what you start — are things we have to live by too.

Grateful for the opportunity and proud to keep setting the example for our boys. 💪🇩🇰

⚾️ WHAT A DAY FOR OUR PITCHERS AND CATCHERS! 🐍🔥

Today’s clinic was a true success! We brought together players from our previous pitching and catching clinics, gave them an opportunity to work as one unit, and it was incredibly rewarding to watch—and even more fun to coach.

We are extremely grateful for every coach who continues to show up and invest their time and energy into helping these boys improve. Whether a player wears a Vipers uniform or plays for another organization, our mission remains the same: develop them, build their confidence, and teach them to trust their abilities. At this age, when those pieces come together, everything else will take care of itself.

We finished the clinic with a little competition and awarded three absolutely ridiculous sliding mitts and two pairs of Pit Viper sunglasses to some of today’s top performers! 🏆😎

But we weren’t done! Every player who attended today’s clinic also received an official 2025 Atlanta Braves All-Star Game hat with the authentic seal—picked up earlier today from one of our amazing partners in Atlanta! 🧢⭐️

There is so much more exciting stuff coming throughout the season, and we are incredibly grateful to be in a position to give back to these boys.

Development isn’t measured by statistics alone. It’s measured by a player’s confidence, ability to control his emotions, willingness to be a great teammate, and capacity to make the right decision when his team needs him most.

We’re expecting a great turnout this Saturday and Sunday. Don’t miss your opportunity to become part of the Columbus Vipers! 🐍⚾️

This fall will be an exciting season filled with fun, player development, and preparation for those transitioning to a higher age group in the spring.

⚾ 11U: 12:00–2:00 PM
⚾ 12U: 4:00- 6:00 PM

Sunday, August 30

⚾ 11U: 1:00–3:00 PM
⚾ 12U: 5:00–7:00 PM

Our scheduled tryout dates are currently limited to Saturday and Sunday. If your player cannot attend either day but would still like to try out, please message me directly. Individual evaluations may be arranged on a case-by-case basis.

⚾ PITCHERS & CATCHERS CLINIC REMINDER

Tomorrow from 5:30–7:30 PM at Rigdon Park!

This reminder is for all pitchers and catchers who have already signed up. We’re looking forward to getting everyone back together for live bullpens and quality development.

Please bring:

• Baseball glove
• Hat and proper baseball attire
• Plenty of water
• Full catcher’s equipment and catcher’s mitt for all catchers

Catchers must wear baseball pants. Catching equipment is extremely important—there is no guarantee that extra gear will be available if you do not bring your own.

Come ready to work and have some fun!
