We are incredibly grateful to the Heartland Bank Community Foundation for their generous support of the Kyle Miller First Day 5K!

Recently, Eric and Sharon Miller of Kyle Miller Shoes for Kids were presented with a $3,500 check from the foundation to help continue the mission of making sure local students start the school year on the right foot.

Funds raised through the Kyle Miller First Day 5K and generous contributions like this one are used to provide brand-new athletic shoes to Gahanna-Jefferson students in need. Each year, hundreds of children receive a new pair of shoes so they can walk into the first day of school with confidence, comfort, and a sense of pride.

Thank you to the Heartland Bank Community Foundation for helping us continue Kyle’s legacy of kindness and for investing in the success of our students and families.

The wait is almost over—the 7th Annual Kyle Miller First Day 5K takes off tomorrow, Sunday, September 7, at Creekside Park in Gahanna!

We’re a little over two weeks away until the 7th Annual Kyle Miller First Day 5K on Sunday, September 7, in Gahanna!

That means it’s time to secure your spot, dust off your running shoes (or your slightly-questionable flip-flops—we still don’t judge), and get ready for a morning of movement, laughs, and a little friendly competition.

Whether you’re:

A dedicated runner chasing a new personal record
A casual stroller who’s mostly here for the community vibes
Or the person who will sprint the first 100 feet and then “strategically pace” the rest of the way
…this event is for YOU.
