The Return of Dr. Rhythm presents Taylor “Dr. Rhythm”, your Event Director, and Jake, Competition Coordinator!

Rhythm & Roots welcomes these two dancers the weekend of October 17th to instruct, organize, and judge our competition!

Along with the workshops on comp day, Taylor and Jake are offering private lessons Friday 10/16 and Sunday 10/18 while time slots are available! Check out their personal pages and DM them if interested in scheduling a private!

Meet your event team!

The Return of Dr. Rhythm country swing event staff is official! Your regular instructors Rachel, Amanda, and Brandon will be joined by the one and only Taylor “Dr. Rhythm”, Devan, and Florida dancer Jake!

Joining the hype team are your ambassadors: Andra, Kasi, Sydney, and Mason! All class regulars, these dancers will be there to bring the vibes and pass along event information.

Save the date! Rhythm & Roots will be hosting a unique class opportunity on Monday, September 21!

There will be no formal lesson taught this night, however we are offering a class dedicated to showcasing YOUR moves, technique, and musicality. Your favorite instructors will be there to provide feedback to level up your skills!

What to expect:
- You’ll be partnered up with a random dancer at the same skill level
-You and your partner will be given a 90-second song spotlight
- You’ll walk away with individual feedback on timing, technique, styling, and connection provided privately by instructors

💥 COUNTRY SWING JACK & JILL COMPETITION💥
Rhythm & Roots is bringing the community together for a night you don’t want to miss 🤠🔥

🗓 May 11
⏰ 8:30 PM
📍 Crystal Ballroom

Whether you’re newer to the dance fam or a seasoned member, this Jack & Jill is for YOU — basics ARE required to enter. You’ll dance with random partners, vibe to random songs, and show off your style, timing, and connection.

✨ What to expect:
• 3 prelim songs + finals round
• Partner rotations during pre-lima, finals = same partner
• Judging on timing, technique, styling & connection with an emphasis on teamwork during finals
• NO lifts (princess dip is allowed in FINALS)

🎉 Plus: mini lesson + social dancing all night
🏆 Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

💖 FREE community event (included in Monday class cost)

And a special note — this is Taylor’s last local event before heading to Florida 🥹 come dance, compete, and send her off right!

**UPDATES**

MONDAYS will now ONLY be an IMPROVER level lesson, basic knowledge is required to be successful during the class.
$12 covers both the lesson and social dance

BEGINNER lessons will be on SUNDAYS at Flannagans promptly at 5-5:30pm, social dancing / practice will go from 5-8pm with ALL levels welcome!
$10 covers the entire evening.
