Thank you for attending the 2025 1/5 Dirt Oval World Championships!
This event would not be possible without the support of you—the racers—and our incredible sponsors.
As we said last year, our philosophy remains the same: “By the Racer, for the Racer.” Every decision made in planning this event was done in good faith and with the racers’ best interests in mind. We understand that not everyone will agree with every choice, but each decision was made to benefit the sport we all love.
Our mission in taking on and continuing this event is simple: to uphold the tradition and keep this race moving forward. Last year’s championship saw a record number of entries, and that momentum has carried into 2025. This race would not be possible without the countless individuals who have contributed their time, effort, and passion along the way.
Over the past two years, we’ve learned that hosting this event is a monumental undertaking. It’s the small, behind-the-scenes details that require the most time and dedication—and we’re grateful to everyone who has stepped up to make it all happen.
As we’ve said before—and it cannot be emphasized enough—R/C racing is about far more than what happens on the track or in the pits. It’s something most coworkers and even family members may never fully understand. We don’t just spend hours building cars and traveling across the country to race them. R/C racing is about camaraderie, laughter, competition, and community. It’s about spending time with friends and family, teaching kids to win and to lose, feeling the adrenaline, and helping one another along the way. The laps we turn are only a small part of what makes this sport so special.
We know that challenges may arise throughout the weekend. Please be patient and understanding, and remember why we’re all here. If we approach this event with the same determination, adaptability, and sportsmanship that R/C racing demands, we’ll all have a fantastic week.
From all of us on the event team—thank you for giving us the opportunity to host this championship and for being part of this amazing community.
