Just a heads up, if you’re looking to bowl some sweeper action this summer, Rusty Walter has a pretty cool tournament running over in plain city.
Three 2 Games Sets, and payout each 2 game set. See Flyer Below.

Zeke Bayt is also running his 12 Week Summer Sweeper Series at HP on Wednesday nights this summer. They start tomorrow night at 7:00 PM
Zeke usually gets real good turnouts for these, so he’s advising everyone to get there early..
Entry Fee is $35

Also, Jayme Young is running her Multi Week tournament at Sequoia this summer, Flyer Attached. I’ve got a couple more to add from Sequoia.

Good afternoon, Brands of Brunswick Bowlers.

The vote is in. The League Voted 18-10 in favor bowling exclusively at Sequoia, with 1 team who
I don’t think is returning next season not participating in the vote and another team who just hasn’t voted but is returning.

With that being said, many teams who voted in favor of staying at Sequoia, asked if we could make changes to the pattern each round so we aren’t bowling on the exact same thing for the entire season. That will be discussed at the meeting and I think that’s a good idea.

On a personal note, as President of the league I feel it’s my job to do what’s best for the league. Especially when it comes to financial matters. And it’s definitely my job to present those options to the league when they are offered to us.
I am good with whatever the league decided and
I was transparent with the centers involved and made it clear that the league members would make the final decision.

I’m very proud of the format and especially the competitive balance of the league.
In the 14 seasons I’ve been running the league, we’ve never had a team win two rounds in the same season.

The playoffs feature multiple new teams every year and this year’s champion had missed the playoffs 3 consecutive years before winning this year.

This season the lowest team average in the league won a round and qualified for the playoffs and the highest team average made the playoffs but did not get a BYE. The 2nd Highest Average in the league did not make the playoffs.
Proving once again, this is a handicap league open to all who wanna bowl with best Columbus has to offer.

The league meeting for next season will take place August 25th
I urge every team to have representation and I’m all ears when it comes to changes.

Congratulations to Team Roto/Storm for Winning their 1st Brands of Brunswick League Title defeating The Charles @ Bexley 1747 to 1744.

Also congratulations to Jon Byers for a 300 game in Round 3 tonight.

Team Storm/Roto took home $8400 for the Win.

Also congratulations to Chad Roberts & Trisha Reid for winning the high averages Male/Female.

I wanna thank Julie Wells at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace, Gary Joyce at HP and Bill VanGundy at Sequoia for all their support this year.

I truly believe we have the best league and format in the country.

In 14 years, we have never had a repeat round winner in the same season, and we have new teams in the playoffs every year.

No league is perfect, but we have a system that other leagues are copying and calling me on how it works.. and we have new teams wanting in for next year, so I believe we will be at 30 teams again.

Good morning B.o.B league members.

Congratulations to the Final 4 Teams.
I would like to start practice by 6:30 if we can get all 16 bowlers participating tonight there by then.

The banquet dinner will start around 7:00.

The 4 Roll Off Teams remaining will get to eat first. As I stated last week, the banquet is for league members only.

Even though the food is served buffet style, it’s not an unlimited buffet.

You can get your team envelopes from Bill & Myself. We will be bowling on the high end of the house.

If you have any questions regarding your team payout, please see us after our match. We are bowling against each other in the semi final match tonight and should be done around 8:15.

As usual, we do not conduct any serious league business tonight. I will reach out to teams individually about returning next year, and I will send messages on this page in regards to league business.

Roll off results will be posted tomorrow.

Just a heads up to Brands of Brunswick Summer Trio league bowlers, we are postponing the start date one week due to another league finishing their season.

So we will start next Monday. If you’re interested in putting a team in, let myself or Lorenzo at Gahanna know.

Good Evening B.o.B League Members.
For the 2nd straight year, the Top 4 Seeds advanced to the Final 4.
As always we had some very good matches.

The Final 4 will be bowling during the banquet.
The Banquet will start around 7:00 PM Tuesday.
Food is being catered by corporate catering..

I will remind everyone this isn’t a buffet. It’s for league members only & team sponsors if you want to bring one. Do not make plates to go. If there is food left over after everyone has eaten, then by all means, get more.

Money will be passed out to each team captain.
If someone isn’t gonna be there & wants me to hold their money, let me know ahead of time, otherwise the your team captain will get it.

This year, Bill Ludwig & myself are both in the Final 4, and are bowling against each other in the 1st Match next week. But we will pass out the prize to captains before we are done with our match.

However, If someone has questions about their
prize money or envelope, please wait til our match is completed.

As far as next years business goes. I will message each team individually to see who is planning on returning next year. Our Pre-Season Meeting will take place on August 25th. At that time we will discuss rule changes and any other league business.
