Just a reminder, the Mega-Bucks league starts next Tuesday not this Tuesday as a general rule. We always start the Tuesday after Labor Day.

We have never deviated from that schedule going all the way back to the Ebonite Traveling Lg days.

I will be reaching out to each team this week to get your official league lineup.

Practice next Tuesday will be at 6:45 PM, with a start time of 7 PM, don’t be surprised the first week if we’re running a little bit behind.

Good morning Brands of Brunswick league members. Just a reminder the league meeting & Free Practice session for league members is this week.. Tuesday night at Sequoia 7 PM.

I would prefer every team send at least one representative if possible. I still know there are a couple teams looking for a bowler.
So feel free to post on here if you’re one of those teams that needs a player.

If you’re individual looking to get on a team let me know or post on this thread as well.

Good Evening Brands of Brunswick Bowlers.
Just a reminder, the League Meeting is two weeks from tonight.

Day: Tuesday
Date: August 25
Time: 7:00 PM
Place: Sequoia Lanes

As of Right now we have 30 Teams, however a couple teams are looking for a Bowler.
3 Teams opted not to come back, but we had a waiting list to get in, so those spots quickly filled.

If anyone in interested in getting on a team, let me know or feel free to post on the on this thread.

Our Start Date will be September 8th.

Good Morning Brands of Brunswick League Members, we are just a month away from the beginning of the 2026/2027 League Season.

The League Meeting will be held on Tuesday August 25th at 7:00 at Sequoia Lanes.

Labor Day falls on Monday September 7th this year. We ALWAYS start the Tuesday after Labor Day.

So as of now, the start date will be Tuesday September 8th.

I’ll be reaching out to each team captain today to confirm your spot.

If your team IS NOT coming back, let me know. We’ve already confirmed 1 new team and we have a couple other new teams that want in.

Just a heads up, if you’re looking to bowl some sweeper action this summer, Rusty Walter has a pretty cool tournament running over in plain city.
Three 2 Games Sets, and payout each 2 game set. See Flyer Below.

Zeke Bayt is also running his 12 Week Summer Sweeper Series at HP on Wednesday nights this summer. They start tomorrow night at 7:00 PM
Zeke usually gets real good turnouts for these, so he’s advising everyone to get there early..
Entry Fee is $35

Also, Jayme Young is running her Multi Week tournament at Sequoia this summer, Flyer Attached. I’ve got a couple more to add from Sequoia.

Good afternoon, Brands of Brunswick Bowlers.

The vote is in. The League Voted 18-10 in favor bowling exclusively at Sequoia, with 1 team who
I don’t think is returning next season not participating in the vote and another team who just hasn’t voted but is returning.

With that being said, many teams who voted in favor of staying at Sequoia, asked if we could make changes to the pattern each round so we aren’t bowling on the exact same thing for the entire season. That will be discussed at the meeting and I think that’s a good idea.

On a personal note, as President of the league I feel it’s my job to do what’s best for the league. Especially when it comes to financial matters. And it’s definitely my job to present those options to the league when they are offered to us.
I am good with whatever the league decided and
I was transparent with the centers involved and made it clear that the league members would make the final decision.

I’m very proud of the format and especially the competitive balance of the league.
In the 14 seasons I’ve been running the league, we’ve never had a team win two rounds in the same season.

The playoffs feature multiple new teams every year and this year’s champion had missed the playoffs 3 consecutive years before winning this year.

This season the lowest team average in the league won a round and qualified for the playoffs and the highest team average made the playoffs but did not get a BYE. The 2nd Highest Average in the league did not make the playoffs.
Proving once again, this is a handicap league open to all who wanna bowl with best Columbus has to offer.

The league meeting for next season will take place August 25th
I urge every team to have representation and I’m all ears when it comes to changes.

Congratulations to Team Roto/Storm for Winning their 1st Brands of Brunswick League Title defeating The Charles @ Bexley 1747 to 1744.

Also congratulations to Jon Byers for a 300 game in Round 3 tonight.

Team Storm/Roto took home $8400 for the Win.

Also congratulations to Chad Roberts & Trisha Reid for winning the high averages Male/Female.

I wanna thank Julie Wells at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace, Gary Joyce at HP and Bill VanGundy at Sequoia for all their support this year.

I truly believe we have the best league and format in the country.

In 14 years, we have never had a repeat round winner in the same season, and we have new teams in the playoffs every year.

No league is perfect, but we have a system that other leagues are copying and calling me on how it works.. and we have new teams wanting in for next year, so I believe we will be at 30 teams again.
