In partnership with The Ohio State Buckeyes softball program, the Ohio Lasers Fastpitch are excited to present the “𝗕𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻" traveling camp series this August.

This is an incredible opportunity for athletes to work directly with the Ohio State coaching staff in a group setting this August.

The Buckeyes will be making stops in both the greater Cleveland and Youngstown areas as we continue working to provide opportunities for athletes across the state.

Both camps will be limited to just 60 participants for graduation years 2026–2031, creating a more personal and interactive experience for every athlete in attendance.

Camp is open to any and all entrants. Participation is limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender.

Honored to have known Glenn on and off the field. He will be dearly missed and mourned not only by our Lasers family but the Ohio softball community in its entirety. 🫶🏼

With heavy hearts, Ohio Lasers Fastpitch shares the passing of Glen Widner, our Vice President, Recruiting Advisor, coach, mentor, and dear friend.

For many years, Glen was an important part of our organization and the heartbeat behind so much of what made Ohio Lasers special. His commitment to our athletes went far beyond the field. He believed deeply in helping young women grow not only as softball players, but as confident, prepared, and resilient people.

Glen gave countless hours to our organization, always willing to guide families through the recruiting process, support coaches, encourage players, and offer his wisdom wherever it was needed. His presence carried weight because it was rooted in genuine care, honesty, and a true love for the game.

His impact reaches generations of players, coaches, and families who were fortunate enough to learn from him, compete for him, and simply know him. The softball community has lost a respected leader, but his influence will continue to live on through the many lives he helped shape.

We extend our deepest sympathy to Penni, his daughters, grandchildren, and all who loved him. We are keeping the Widner family in our prayers and stand with them during this difficult time.

Glen’s legacy will always remain part of Ohio Lasers.
