BE COACHABLE: Allowing yourself to get coached is not a sign of inabilities. It is instead an indication of your confidence & your competitiveness. It is a demonstration of your humility and shows how deeply you care about performing at your fullest potential. An additional, knowledgeable perspective added to your own can help you raise your game in any area of your life.

Thank you for coaching, mentoring, and allowing my daughter to learn & love the game of basketball. As a mother, and as a coach, I learned the secret in parenting is to find coaches who I want to learn from, teach my daughter. Coaching is not easy. Parenting is also not easy. However, given the opportunity to parent or coach my daughter, I choose parenting and teaching her how to be the athlete and allowing her coach, to coach her. I learned this tip from my dad, my coach, who has 43 years of coaching under his belt. Coach-ability is the hardest lesson to learn and it is instilled in the HOME, by parents. It takes a village to raise a child, choose wisely as a parent ... but realize as a parent, who coaches, their is always something to learn even when your not coaching.

I am so proud of you Ava for the hard work, discipline, confidence and drive you bring when you step foot on the court! Out of all the pictures I received of you playing, these two pictures mean more to me as your mother, than you can imagine. The trust, appreciation, and opportunities basketball will provide you with, stems from your continued RESPECT to being coached and always RESPECTING the game. Keep putting in the work, it will definitely pay off ✨
