Adding or keeping in healthy fats is crucial to absorbing nutrients and hormone production.

Since protein and carbs are huge right now in the fitness industry a lot of people are forgetting to add in fats due to their high calorie content.
Keep in your fats. Below 40 grams of fat per day is not enough!

These 5 foods do but are not limited to these benefits:
-Whole eggs provide: essential amino acids and vitamins
-Olive/avocado/coconut oil: antioxidants and protect against inflammation
- Nuts: high in magnesium and selenium ( Brazil nuts )
- Fatty fish: omega 3 fats ( helps your brain, heart, and joints )
- Flax seed: improves digestion and reduces inflammation ( good in smoothies)

How you can stay fit and still eat out???

I’m going to let you in on a little secret 😏

You CAN eat the foods you enjoy and lose weight.

I talk with potential clients all the time who say they just want to develop good eating habits but they don’t know where to start.

But when I take a look at their diet they are too restrictive during the week which causes them to end up binging on the weekends with a ton of sweets and fatty foods.

Listen...

You can have sweets and fatty foods.

In moderation.

80% of your food needs to come from whole foods and the last 20% comes from more fun foods.

This is how you find that right balance 👏

Here’s how to approach date night:

- Check the restaurant’s food nutrition information beforehand. ( if MFP doesn’t have it, find something similar you plan to eat and log that instead)

- Make sure meals before hand are packed with protein, complex carbs, and veggies ( aim to hit 15-20g fiber before you go out)

- If you have a little amount of carbs to work with have smaller portion sizes before so you can have more room to work with when you eat out

* Don’t be afraid or feel guilty to have dessert on date night.
