GAME DAY! SHOW ME STATE TOURNAMENT!

Today our 573 Shock 2nd Grade boys hit the court at the Show Me State Tournament! These boys have put in the work, and now it’s time to compete.

No matter the outcome, I couldn’t be more proud of this group. I want them to play hard, play together, and leave everything on the floor. That’s what 573 Shock basketball is all about.

Let’s make some memories this weekend and represent our program the right way.

What a weekend at the Show Me State Games for my 6th grade team.

We finished the weekend 1-3, but that record doesn’t tell the whole story.

We had a tough start on Friday, but these boys never quit. We bounced back with a big win, then took one of the top teams in the tournament down to the wire, losing by just 4 points. We ended our weekend with a heartbreaking 1-point overtime loss to LouTown Ballers, who went on to win the championship.

I couldn’t be more proud of this team. Every game we got better, competed harder, and trusted each other more. These boys showed heart, toughness, and resilience all weekend long. That’s the culture we’re building at 573 Shock.

For our first season together, I couldn’t ask for a better group of kids. We learned a lot this weekend, and we’ll use every lesson to come back stronger. This isn’t the end—it’s just the beginning.

Thank you to all of our parents, families, and supporters for sticking with us and cheering us on all weekend. We appreciate every one of you.

🏀 573 SHOCK TOURNAMENT UPDATE
What a weekend for our 573 Shock family!

Our 2nd Grade team faced adversity all day long. We were missing three players and were short on coaches, but these young athletes never made excuses. They played hard, competed every possession, and showed tremendous heart. They finished just ONE POINT away from bringing home 2nd place. While the scoreboard didn’t fall our way, their effort, toughness, and growth made it feel like a win. I couldn’t be more proud of how they battled through every challenge thrown at them.

Our 6th Grade team continued to show what they’re capable of by bringing home 2nd Place! These boys played with determination, represented 573 Shock the right way, and competed at a high level all tournament long. Their hard work in practice is paying off, and it’s been amazing to watch them continue to grow as players and teammates.

As a coach, I couldn’t be prouder of both groups. Success isn’t always measured by trophies—it’s measured by effort, resilience, growth, and how you respond when things get tough. Both teams showed exactly what 573 Shock Basketball is all about.
