Was a lights out morning with a three bird kind of day. Right off the bat a client and I made a move on a henned up gobbler. As we moved positions to get to a better calling spot two toms busted out gobbling 15 yards to our right coming up a grown in trail. With no time to think we sat and watched them come strutting up the path into 5 yards taking out both with one shot! Both birds 17 pounds 8 3/4 beards an inch spurs. Fast forward couple hours later, Isaias went on his fist ever turkey hunt this morning and got the full show as his tom (16 pounds, 3/4 inch spurs, and 9.5 inch beard) cam strutting in from 90 yards out gobbling every single step right into his lap. To say he is hooked is an understatement.

We here at pea ridge guide service would like to wish everyone a safe and very merry Christmas! We hope you’re all able to enjoy time with your loved one! With that said 2024 is coming to a close and Iv had a chance to sit and reflect on what a special year of hunting and guiding it’s been. Had a lot of close calls and saw some amazing bucks this November with clients and just couldn’t close the deal with some. Covered amazing country and was able to have my son by my side on a lot of the adventures and hunting trips this year and those moments out weighed the harvests by far. Hopefully the 2025 year can bring just as much memories and hunting trips! Hope to see you soon!

Another beautiful successful downeast turkey hunt! Located these two Tom’s and called them out the roost and it was all over in 10 mins. Decided to try something different to preserve the fan for the hunter and caped out the back feathers along with it. First bird Iv ever seen with 19 tail feather, normally they have 17 to 18.

A year ago I was in touch with a few guys from Florida and South Carolina, who were on the hunt for eastern turkeys. I’m happy to say that for Mathew and John the experience of hunting eastern turkeys in Maine, followed by a turkey slam for Mathew happened this week. I take pride as Maine Guide providing these experiences, and watching the awaited goal come together. Congratulations on the birds and the achievement boys.
