Pikes Peak Thunder

Pikes Peak Thunder Pikes Peak Thunder is a high school hockey program whose mission is to support the growth and development of high school hockey in Southern Colorado.

The Thunder competes in the CPHL, as well as other USA Hockey sanctioned tournaments.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST....Player Spotlight on Dustin Adams-Brown, one of the fearless goalies for Thunder!

⚡A student at Pine Creek, when he’s not making epic saves, you’ll find him diving into math class or playing any sport he can get his hands on.

⚡If Dustin could swap lives with another hockey player, he'd choose Juuse Saros!

⚡Fun facts: his style is as smooth as vanilla, and there’s always a lacrosse ball hiding in his bag.

Meet Caiden Zwally, one of Thunder's hockey defenders! 🏒 As a 10th grader who attends Pine Creek, Caiden loves math and is CPR certified.

⚡Off the rink, you’ll find Caiden fishing 🎣 or enjoying chocolate cake

⚡Quick fun fact: Caiden can do a fantastic owl whistle and if his hockey style was a flavor it would be chocolate cherry licorice

Spotlight 🔥 Meet Marshall Kolega, #84 — holding it down on defense for Pikes Peak Thunder! Marshall attends Discovery Canyon as a sophomore and when he’s not blocking shots, you’ll find him flying FPV drones or diving into forensic science...his favorite subject in school.

⚡Fun fact: Marshall was selected by his coaches and honored to represent at the banner raising event to honor Pierre Lacroix at Ball Arena a few years ago!

⚡His fave dessert is brownies and if he could trade places with any hockey player, it’d be Connor Bedard.

Meet #77 Braxton Burst, a hardworking left wing for Pikes Peak Thunder! He's a freshman at Pine Creek with a passion for hockey that is matched by his love for science and a serious sweet tooth for apple pie.

⚡Off the ice, you’ll find him snowboarding or playing lacrosse, showing his versatility as an athlete.

⚡Fun fact: He’s really good at whistling, and if he could skate a day in anyone’s shoes, he’d pick Crosby or MacKinnon. His hockey stick's nickname? "Bear."

⚡We love hearing about the random finds in his hockey bag (cut up laces!) and his spirit animal definitely matches his grit and energy on the ice!

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT...Check out #71 Isaac "Ike" Everhart, a center/wing for Pikes Peak Thunder who brings energy to the ice!

⚡Currently a freshman at Pine Creek, Ike's favorite class is study hall, and sherbet tops the list for best dessert.

⚡When asked what pizza topping he'd be, Ike chooses pineapple...bold, unexpected, and always making things interesting.

Meet #41 Gavin Leon...Thunder winger! This Pine Creek sophomore shines as a right wing and brings his best work to the ice each game!

⚡His favorite subject in school is science and when he's not scoring goals, you’ll find him playing outside.

⚡Fun fact: Gavin loves Batman, keeps "liquid bandage" in his hockey bag, and nicknamed his stick "unc." His hockey spirit animal? Black panther.

Watch out for Gavin in our last season game this weekend!
