Daniel is originally from Odesa, Ukraine, where he took his very first steps on the ice. At this competition, we had the unexpected pleasure of meeting his fellow Odesan — Olympic medalist and World bronze medalist Ruslan Goncharov.
Ruslan, thank you sincerely for your kind words of support — it meant a lot to us! With that encouragement, we pulled ourselves together and skated our second pattern dance really well!
