Colfax-Mingo Youth Football

Attention all K, 1ST, and 2ND grade parents fall flag football signup is here. We recommend the 2 leagues below for parents to choose from depending on offering. The leagues are Altoona Campus and Newton YMCA. If there are enough kids from the Colfax and Mingo area signed up in either league the league may decide to make a team of only Colfax and Mingo kids, but this will be determined by the sports director for each league. Details about both leagues are below.

Altoona Campus:
• Registration ends this Friday, August 15th
• Cost is $95 which includes a mouth guard and jersey
• Teams are by grade for 1st and 2nd
• Practices are determined by the coach. Practices can start as early as September 1st
• Games will start on September 13th. The first 3 games will be Saturday mornings, and the last 3 games will be a weeknight.
• Games will be played at Sam Wise Youth Complex.

Newton YMCA:
• Registration is open till Wednesday, August 20th or later
• Cost is $35 for members and $55 for non-members before August 20th and after August 20th cost is $48 for members and $70 for non-members. Jersey is included in cost.
• Teams are K/1st grade and 2nd/3rd grade.
• Practices start September 2 (TBD by coach)
• Saturday games, Sept 13 - Oct 18th. Games can be in morning or afternoon.
• Games at NHS Band Field (on 8th Ave)

Hi K-2nd grade parents. We are still working out details on our youth flag football program. We will update you when we everything set up and will send out sign up at that time. We usually start that registration process around August. We just wanted to send out this information so you don’t feel like you missed it or anything. We will get you the details as soon as it’s all finalized Thank you.

We're excited to announce Iowa's stellar RB, Kaleb Johnson will be in Cedar Rapids for his Youth Football Camp this summer! The camp is for boys and girls ages 6-16 and will take place on Friday, June 27th at Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, IA. Sign up before camp sells out!
