Congratulations to Abby Parker and Scarlet Walkden for becoming the first Yellow Jackets to compete in the TSSAA Track & Field State Championships! Walkden (right) placed second in high jump and seventh in triple jump, and Parker finished seventh in high jump! Parker also placed 12th in last week’s pentathlon event.

After two great days of tryouts, we are excited to announce the players selected for the 2026 team!

We were incredibly impressed by the effort, attitude, and competitiveness shown by everyone who tried out. Thank you to all of the athletes who gave their best these past two days.

⭐️ Parents of selected players will need to attend a mandatory parent meeting tomorrow at 5:00 PM in room 34 at GCHS. We will discuss expectations, schedules, summer information, and upcoming plans for the season.⭐️

⭐️ Those selected as managers will be contacted via email by Coach Lewis.⭐️

Congratulations to our players. We are excited to get started with summer practices next week.

Congratulations to Grundy County Softball freshman, Emma Brown #24, for finishing the game last night with 104 strikeouts this season. The last time this was achieved was in 2007 by Alissa Dickerson Smartt. 🥎
