Congratulations to Lady Flier Mimi Greenslade and the 16U Team Ohio Blue squad on an outstanding week at the 2026 USA Wrestling Women's National Duals!

Coming into the tournament completely unranked, Team Ohio Blue wasted no time making a statement with an impressive opening-round victory over #4-ranked Colorado. The team battled their way to a second-place finish in their pool, earning a spot in the Gold/Silver bracket and ultimately securing a 6th-place finish in the nation to earn All-American honors. 🏆🇺🇸

The success continued in Greco-Roman competition. After dropping their opening dual, Team Ohio Blue responded with an incredible run through the remainder of pool competition undefeated. That early setback placed them in the Bronze/Copper bracket, where they finished second to claim a Top-10 national finish, ending the tournament 10th in the country overall.

Mimi had a tremendous tournament while competing against some of the best wrestlers in the nation. She finished the week with an 8-6 record and gained valuable experience that will help prepare her for Fargo next month.

We also want to recognize Avery Guhn. Due to a recent change in USA Wrestling age eligibility requirements, Avery was unfortunately unable to compete with the 16U team this year. Despite that disappointment, she took full advantage of the opportunity to train alongside Team Ohio and gain valuable experience. Avery has put in tremendous work this offseason, and her future is incredibly bright.

Proud of these young ladies and the way they represented Ohio on the national stage. The future of girls wrestling in Ohio is strong! 💪🤼‍♀️

We've updated our summer schedule by making both Sundays and Mondays co-ed sessions. This gives wrestlers and families more flexibility with training days and times, making it easier for more athletes to get in the room throughout the summer.

What a great day for Clyde Lady Flier Wrestling at the USA Wrestling Ohio National Dual Team Camp hosted at Marysville High School!

Lady Fliers Avery Guhn and Mimi Greenslade had the opportunity to train alongside some of the best wrestlers in Ohio as they prepare to represent the Ohio Girls National Team this summer. The camp provided outstanding instruction, high-level training, and a chance for athletes from across the state to learn from some of Ohio's top coaches. 💙💛

A huge thank you to all of the Team Ohio coaches who took time to instruct, demonstrate, and work with the athletes throughout the day.

A special thank you goes to Marysville High School Varsity Girls Wrestling Coach Shawn Andrews for all of his hard work organizing and hosting a first-class camp. Events like this don't happen without countless hours of preparation behind the scenes.

As Avery and Mimi continue preparing for their national competitions, we're still working hard to raise funds for both our athletes and the Clyde Lady Flier Wrestling program. Our current "Fill the Singlet" fundraiser allows supporters to choose a section of a singlet—or fill an entire singlet—with their donation. Each completed singlet represents $125 in donations.

Current fundraising efforts will help cover team fees (total team fees: $2,825) and travel expenses for:
🏅 Avery and Mimi to compete with Team Ohio at the 2026 USA Wrestling Women's National Duals in Westfield, Indiana.
🏅 Mimi to compete at the 2026 USA Wrestling Junior Nationals (Fargo) in Fargo, North Dakota.

Last year, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, Flier Amateur Wrestling helped send athletes to National Duals, Fargo, Virginia Beach Nationals, the OHSAA State Tournament, and some overnight in-season competitions. 100% of donations go directly toward building and supporting our local wrestling program.

⭐Support Two Clyde Wrestlers Representing Team Ohio on the National Stage! ⭐

Avery Guhn and Mimi Greenslade have been selected to compete for USA Wrestling Ohio at the 2026 USA Wrestling Women's National Duals in Westfield, Indiana. In addition, Mimi has once again qualified for the 2026 U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals (Fargo), the nation's premier Olympic-style high school wrestling tournament.

All donations will help cover team fees and travel expenses.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community last year, we filled enough singlets to send 3 girls to National Duals, 2 girls to Fargo, and help offset the cost for 2 girls to compete at High School Nationals in Virginia Beach.

How the "Fill the Singlet" Campaign Works:

Simply choose a donation amount and help us fill the singlet! Each completed singlet represents $125 toward these athletes' national competition expenses.

💙💛 Flight Club this afternoon! 💛💙

We're excited to welcome Sugey Ceja, Assistant Coach at Tiffin Women's Wrestling, to lead Flight Club tonight from 3:00–5:00 PM at the Flier Wrestling Room (505 N. Main St., Clyde).

Sugey will be leading our girls' sessions every Tuesday this summer, providing a tremendous opportunity for wrestlers to learn from one of the top coaches in women's wrestling.

🏆 Open to girls of all ages, from all schools, and experience levels

Whether you're just getting started or preparing for national-level competition, this is a great chance to sharpen your skills and get quality mat time.

We hope to see a great turnout tonight and throughout the summer!

Just a reminder that Flight Club for the girls is tomorrow from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at the Flier Wrestling Room! Come ready to work, get better, and keep building this offseason. 💪✈️

We’re also really excited to officially announce our Flight Club Summer Schedule, which will begin in June!

We’re pumped to welcome back former Flier and current Ashland University wrestler Lance Overmyer, who will be running a morning boys session every Monday this summer.

We’re also excited to have a special clinician for the girls every Tuesday afternoon — Sugey Ceja from Tiffin Women's Wrestling! This is a tremendous opportunity for our girls to learn from a college coach with high-level experience in the sport.

In addition, members of the Clyde boys and girls coaching staffs will be running multiple sessions throughout the week for wrestlers of all ages.

Check out the attached weekly schedule for all session times and details. We’re looking forward to a great summer in the room! 🔥🤼‍♀️🤼‍♂️
